No, monoclonal antibodies do not require hospitalization. They are also given on an outpatient basis. Here in the dmv, you can make an appointment at Inova to get the antibodies (see their website). |
There’s always Zoom. |
Val Demmings isn’t well known, even in Florida. She’s going to have to raise funds and get the party behind her. Rubio has the incumbency and is a bit of a chameleon: he seems to have transitioned from a Bush-style neocon to a Trumpy populist. Combine that with the rightward shift of the Cuban vote and it’s hard not to give Rubio the advantage. I don’t know much about Nikki Fried, but I know that Charlie Crist has changed parties twice in the last decade and seems to bend whichever way the wind is blowing, so I’m not too optimistic about his chances. |
The deadliest occupation in America has become right-wing talk show host.
https://www.denverpost.com/2021/09/13/bob-enyart-dies-covid-19/ Feel free to mock Enyart's death since he used to “gleefully read obituaries of AIDS sufferers while cranking ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ by Queen." |

I think Limbaugh used to do that too. So vile. |
I don't believe in God, or Karma.... but this steady stream of karmic events sure has me thinking ![]() ![]() |
That sounds like using abortion as a form of birth control. Anti-choice people should be against both. |
I saw an interview with an anti-vax Trump supporter who recovered from covid after treatment with monoclonal antibodies. When asked why he would accept the monoclonal antibodies, but refused the vaccine (both under EUA at the time), he stated it was because “his” president was successfully treated with them, and since “his” president had complete confidence in them, he did, too. Never mind that “his” president also took the vaccine as soon as it was available. They all seem to gloss over that part. |
So another angry ugly human dies. Big question for me is will the covid deaths of trumpers ever shift an election? We know some races can come down to one or two votes. In the long run will covid kill the Republican Party because the lowly voters refuse the vaccine? (We know the wealthy republicans will all be vaccinated - the rubes, the victims won’t be).
Karma is not that immediate - but really it would be nice if particularly hard hit red states turned purple as a result of all the old angry white people refusing the vaccine and dying. |
The number of covid deaths in Florida already exceeds Ron DeSantis’s victory margin. |
What does that even mean, "refused to get the vaccine due to abortion concerns"? Liberals like abortion and liberals like the vaccine so both are evil? |
Oh, no I understand we’re supposed to have nothing but empathy for these broken down monsters. Or something. I’m out of it, at any rate. There are unvaccinated dum dums dying (like that California couple who had five kids, the fifth having been born via c-section after her mother was incubated) and for them I think, gosh, that’s sad that they’re leaving behind a whole family, maybe they didn’t have a work situation that allowed them to take off time for recovery if needed. But for people like Enyart? Nope. Nothing. Not an iota of sympathy. |
Maybe he got the vaccine mixed up with the antibody treatment that uses aborted fetal tissue. |
I saw someone crunch the numbers and they said in most places, no. Like in Idaho, for example, one county (Franklin) went nearly 90% for Trump (5845 vs 657 for Biden). Short of a variant that kills the unvaccinated faster and more ruthlessly but spares vaccinated people, no, that’s not going to change the numbers. I noticed on Idaho’s covid website that they’re one of the states talking about suing Biden over his covid regulations. So this isn’t done. ![]() |
