Thanks for clearing that up. For a minute I thought the Trump War Room Twitter account was guilty of attempted gaslighting, telling us that we did not in fact hear Trump say the virus is a hoax. Then walk it back, then deny it...one day, we will wake up and just like that, poof! These lies will finally be gone and put to rest.

All I know is, from early March all the Republicans I know were saying things like, “This is just like the flu, this is no big deal, Democrats are exaggerating” etc. One of these folks is a nurse from flyover country who works with seniors. You Trumpsters can quibble about wording and meaning all you want, but the overall impression Trump gave was that coronavirus was a new Dem strategy to take him down.

Or, we can believe the crazy orange man telling us how stable, genius, accurate, decisive and honest he is when he reminds us of what is real and what is fake. If I put my trust in anyone to tell me the reality, it’s gonna be a reality tv star. Do you not trust the judgment of such a person? No one said the virus was a hoax. No one said Russia was a hoax.
