CDC just announced that unvaccinated are 11times more likely to die of covid than vaccinated. So, is this like a slate cleaner for republicans? The moderate Republicans getting the vaccine while the maga loyalists all die? It is one way to get zealots out of your party - let them join a death cult and just keep on dying.

If the only people who did not get vaccinated were trump voters, I think I could say “you be you cra-cra.”

This isn't someone who has Covid, yet the story fits the "hoisted with their own petard" theme of this thread.

An Alaska state senator pitched a fit refusing to comply with mask mandate at airport and so has been banned from Alaska Airlines indefinitely. It is the only airline now flying from Juneau to Anchorage (where her district is located). Best paragraphs are the last two:

Because it’s all over the map. Some studies seem to indicate it’s long lasting and a strong defense against covid, other studies indicate it’s fleeting and less robust than the response from vaccine immunity, some sources say the strength of it depends on how severe the initial case was. It’s not a guarantee at all. Get vaccinated.

NP. That’s true, but administrating monoclonal antibodies requires hospitalization, and in some places, they don’t have the staff to take more patients, so you can’t count on having easy access to treatment once you’ve already got covid.
