F&ck Nadler, what an ignorant, classless piece of sh&t. |
Oh, sure - Nadler is the problem there. Not the guy who refused to wear a mask, even though he was sick with COVID. Def, Nadler. Good one, Republicans! Smart and sensible as ever! |
First of all, Snopes didn't "debunk" this claim -- they gave it a mixture of true and false. Second, Politifact said that Trump didn't directly call the coronavirus a hoax -- he said said that Democratic criticism of his coronavirus policy was a hoax. But WTF does that mean? You can say that the criticism is unfair or incorrect but you don't use the word "hoax" to describe a criticism. The only conceivable interpretation is that the Democratic criticism is a hoax because the coronavirus itself is a hoax. |
I’m 11:20 and I apologize for summoning you. ![]() Because his comments are open to interpretation, and it sure reads to me like he’s calling it a hoax. Which is how he’s treated it, and what his surrogates have referred to it as, and as the fish rots from the head, it seems more correct to conclude that he did intend to call it a hoax. Luckily for him, he’s in his own viral bunker in which he’s protected from the virus as well as any of its effects. |
Shouldn’t this be used as an example in that other really long Karen outrage thread? |
Judge for yourselves. Here’s the video of Trump saying that the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus. A few minutes into the video he says this is their new hoax.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1145721 All I know is, from early March all the Republicans I know were saying things like, “This is just like the flu, this is no big deal, Democrats are exaggerating” etc. One of these folks is a nurse from flyover country who works with seniors. You Trumpsters can quibble about wording and meaning all you want, but the overall impression Trump gave was that coronavirus was a new Dem strategy to take him down. |
Trump did |
+1 and Hannity straight up called it a hoax. “They’re scaring the living hell out of people and I see it again as like, ‘Oh, let’s bludgeon Trump with this new hoax.’” https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/03/19/sean-hannity-denied-calling-coronavirus-hoax-nine-days-after-he-called-coronavirus-hoax/#click=https://t.co/Y4FMjIqm3B |
