As that article said, Ukraine knew they had not received the aid money. They didn't know why, but they knew they didn't have it. |
Exactly...so, how could there even have been an "implicit" quid pro quo, if Zelensky didn't know the funds had been withheld? |
Actually, no. Read the first paragraph of the article. It explicitly says that Zelensky believed that the money was on it's way at the time of the phone call. They did not receive word of the holdup until a month after the call. The word of the holdup came via a letter a month after the phone call. |
OMG. He lied for 2 long years claiming he had more than circumstantial evidence that Trump colluded with Russia. He lied when he performed his little parody on the House floor. And, he lied about not knowing details of the whistleblower's complaint. https://twitter.com/KenDilanianNBC/status/1179529532698701824 |
Yes, they were waiting, hoping the funds would post any minute, any day... Constantly checking the bank account until they finally heard that the funds had officially been withheld with no reason given. Pure panic. For months. I know the feeling, looking at my bank account, hoping that the check will post, any minute now, any day... But for me, it does. It's not mysteriously held up, with no reason given. |
Pence's people are doing their best to throw Trump under the bus and keep Pence clean. Trump is doing the same to Pence.
I don't know why you all are bent on believing in Trump's innocence in the face of that, as well as all the other evidence. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/trump-involved-pence-in-efforts-to-pressure-ukraines-leader-though-aides-say-vice-president-was-unaware-of-pursuit-of-dirt-on-bidens/2019/10/02/263aa9e2-e4a7-11e9-b403-f738899982d2_story.html?fbclid=IwAR1lrEKrDequCRiia-2MJDzubAukanITz92Xb8J4i7OErz2-Z5rAkwWjve4 |
The Justice Department told White House personnel on Wednesday that they must preserve all presidential records, including any notes regarding President Donald Trump's meetings and phone calls with foreign leaders. “DOJ says the Trump administration will voluntarily give its assurance to not destroy records about Trump's and other officials' convos with foreign leaders — a judge yesterday strongly urged them to do this and avoid a messy legal fight.” https://www.buzzfeednews.com/amphtml/zoetillman/trump-lawsuit-preserve-records-foreign-calls-impeachment?__twitter_impression=true |
Now we know that Schiff had advanced knowledge of this whistleblower's complaint makes it even more curious at why one of his staffers traveled to Ukraine in late August.
Was this the same staffer that the whistleblower contacted? We need to know. And, we need to know the purpose for the trip. |
Trump knows he did a bad thing. Pence knows. You don't know? |
He only had knowledge of a complaint, he didn't know who or the nature. All his staff did was tell them to file a complaint with the IG, which is the law. Nothing more. And, it doesn't change that Trump and Giuliani ADMITTED to the crime already. You are just muddying the waters with conspiracy BS. |
If nothing wrong was done, why was the "transcript" of the call placed into the super-secret NSC server? If nothing was done wrong, why is everyone lying about it now? |
There was no quid pro quo. Zelensky and the Ukrainians did not know about the withheld funds until a month after the phone call. Period. |
Then why was Pence held back from attending the Inaugural? Why did the Ukranians suddenly pull out of Donbass this week? Mere coincidence? Seriously, you are falling for the shiny object here. |
WaPo: Odd markings, ellipses fuel doubts about the ‘rough transcript’ of Trump’s Ukraine call
What’s fueling my doubts is Trump calling it perfect and word for word and comma by comma and talking about stenographers and sh!t. Oh, and also it’s twenty minutes shorter than it should be. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2019/10/03/odd-markings-ellipses-fuel-doubts-about-rough-transcript-trumps-ukraine-call/#click=https://t.co/dA4jsYxnjn |
We don't know any of this to be true. All we have is what Schiff has said. And, the fact that he hid his staff's contact with the whistleblower indicates he has something to hide. And, there was no crime by Trump. |
