Why do you think it matters? What if the WB is another presidential candidate? Does that conflict somehow change Trump’s own admissions regarding the call, and the views of many other national leaders of both parties who say the call and surrounding circumstances are completely inappropriate? |
We just aren't that dumb. Move along. |
Certainly |
So? Trump released the transcript. He and Rudy are balls deep in this. Their motives are in question, too. |
A Whistleblower complaint is secret for two reasons: (1) so the allegations can be preliminarily investigated to determine that they are credible, relevant, filed with the right agency, etc., and warrant a full investigation, (2) to not tip off the accused to prevent them from destroying evidence, intimidating witnesses, retaliating, etc. The whistleblower can choose to come forward but there is a seal on anyone else disclosing his/her identity. In this case, the allegations were investigated and verified by the IG talking to multiple witnesses and reviewing documents. At this point, it doesn’t matter who the Whistleblower is, the investigation is justified and follows the evidence. |
The Trump White House has already admitted to the nuts and bolts of the facts disclosed by the whistleblower. What difference does it make at this point who they are or if they are ever made public? |
Exclusive from Fox News: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/whistleblower-memo-trump-ukraine-call-white-house-crazy-frightening "Immediately after learning secondhand information from a White House official about President Trump’s July 25 phone call with the president of Ukraine, the first whistleblower wrote a dramatic personal memo, saying the White House official characterized the call as “crazy” and “frightening,” Fox News has learned. In contrast to a publicly released transcript of the July 25 phone call, the two-page memo used dramatic language. According to the memo, the White House official “described the (July 25th) call as ‘crazy,’ ‘frightening,’ and ‘completely lacking in substance related to national security.’” |
And? The call summary released by the white house confirm what the whistleblower reported. Rudy and Donald both admitted it on camera. The Volker texts also confirm it. It is quacking and waddling like a duck. |
Sounds right. Do you think that's inaccurate? |
I quoted it because I am mildly surprised to find this on the Fox News website. As an exclusive, no less. |
It makes sense, supports why the whistleblower would have been motivated to come forward about this particular call. I presume that Fox is presenting this as a gotcha (I didn't click on the link), but on reflection it supports the whistleblower. |
This! At this point the WB is amoot point (or should I say a moat point?) W/ WH transcript, trump & Rudy blabber, and diplomats texts... we don’t even need the WB. It’s all there for us to see! Trump abused his power of the Presidency. He withheld aide to get dirt and god knows what else he did. Also, keep and eye out for a call with MBS Re: Turkey & Syria. Trump definitely made some deal on that. So. Much. Winning! |
