Cohen Testifying

Much like his tax returns, Trump demands other POTUS release their grades and tax returns, but he should be excused from doing so.

Manhattan real estate mogul Donald Trump suggested in an interview Monday that President Barack Obama had been a poor student who did not deserve to be admitted to the Ivy League universities he attended.

Trump, who is mulling a bid for the Republican presidential nomination, offered no proof for his claim but said he would continue to press the matter as he has the legitimacy of the president's birth certificate.

"I heard he was a terrible student, terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?" Trump said in an interview with The Associated Press. "I'm thinking about it, I'm certainly looking into it. Let him show his records."

Yes.. Trump, show your records.

The most ominous thing Michael Cohen said about Trump

“Given my experience working for Mr. Trump, I fear that if he loses the election in 2020, that there will never be a peaceful transition of power."

I shivered when he said that, because it's SO possible. He discredits all institutions and will almost certainly contest any election result that doesn't name him the clear winner. And more importantly, the day he leaves the White House he will almost certainly be indicted, possibly arrested and financially destroyed.

And he's backed by about 60 million Americans with probably 10 times that many guns.

This is the kind of crap that's insulting and that further highlights the sh*t-storm that surrounded Hillary's "basket of deplorables" comment. (Deplorable is an adjective, by the way. drives me mad . . .)

So we're going to KEEP up with the stereotypes to what end? Do you WANT another Civil War? b/c this one will me MUCH worse than our first . . . MUCH

I can't believe how hungry you all are on ripping into people on both sides. It's sick.

No one can think critically. People immerse themselves into some black and white agenda and froth at the mouth when something is hyped up.

sick

DP.. wasn't Trump who said something about picking up your guns in reference to Hillary or something?

frothing at the mouth . . .

Look - sane people see Trump for who he is. But instead of banding together - across party lines- we adhere to ONE agenda, which creates the Machiavellian effect. It's easy to control people when they're all fighting each other.

Not all Conservatives are in militias - ready to arm up and shoot. Not all Liberals are vegans doing yoga each morning. But this is what the news portrays each day, and these stereotypes are perpetuated on these threads.

again - frothing at the mouths b/c we love the drama!

so reactive . . . Where are the proactive measures ensuring kids are learning? that they're READY for learning b/c their emotional and physical needs are met? (Maslow, anyone?)

I can't believe how limited the thinking is - and this forum supposedly represents an educated group.

I can’t figure out your gibberish.

+1. The prior poster is arrogant, has made several misstatements in that rant, and is fundamentally ill-informed.

If conservatives want to.know why Trump drives liberals bonkers, this the perfect example. He makes a baseless accusation against Obama, threatens to investigate, and demands Obama release his records himself. Faced with the same accusation from his own professors and classmates, and a suspiciously large donation from his father, he refuses to release his records, brags about being one of the smartest people in the world and threatens his schools with legal action if they release his records (which they weren't doing anyway).

The bonkers part is that conservatives don't see anything wrong with any of that.

Fordham University is confirming it received a letter from Donald Trump's then-lawyer threatening legal action if Trump's academic records became public.

Omg. Trump is so screwed.

I think Trump should release those records. It would show his base that, see... you too can be rich and successful even if you're not smart... (disregard that I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth). It would show he's "one of them..." -- white and uneducated -- yes, I know he has a degree, but just barely.

Are you my liberal husband who thinks he and his family are better than everyone else?

probably not since I'm a woman, and not a liberal. I used to be a R, now Independent.

I don't normally put stock in what school someone went to, but Trump is clearly a moron. What's in his academic record that he would send a threatening letter to his alma mater to not release his academic records? Who does that? It's almost like he's hiding something, kind of like his tax returns.

My arrogant husband and family never went to college. Yet they still would say what you do about people who don't agree with them. I, on the other hand, have a master's degree in a technical field and I'm the dumb one?

When you have people coming at you from all sides, leaking information about you, often lying about you, you learn to defend yourself. I certainly did, and had to from that crazy in ways you can only imagine.

And for the record? My husband is brilliant but is learning disabled, which is why he did not go to college. He would have failed out for sure with that type of traditional academia. So I'm not really terrible 'invested' in whether someone got As, Bs, or Cs for that reason. I'm surprised he's so hard on others, but that's liberalism for you.

Does he go around lying about it? That is the issue.

Giuliani also confimed that Trump knew. You have to be very slow not to believe that Trump knew.

“If true, Cohen’s account, which he provided in sworn testimony to the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, would be a dramatic revelation — indicating that Trump misled the public about his knowledge of WikiLeaks’ plans and, importantly, provided false written testimony to special counsel Robert S. Mueller III.”

“Before Cohen was sentenced to serve three years in prison, special-counsel prosecutor Jeannie Rhee told a federal judge during a hearing that he gave “credible and reliable information about core Russia-related issues under investigation.”

What drives liberal (and should drive every thinking person) bonkers is the White privilege epitomized by Trump. A extremely well qualified POC is expected to prove every day that he is qualified going out of his way and producing all kind of evidence at the whim of a crazy white man. And even if he produces evidence he would still be questioned. On the other hand, a lazy, crazy and corrupt White man can proclaims he is most qualified without producing an ounce of factual evidence and millions of the citizens still believe him!

One guy’s take on how many laws Trump broke according to Cohen’s testimony.

Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal, which has gone out of its way to uncover pretty much everything the SDNY is investigating, has figured out what Cohen had to omit from his testimony due to an active investigation there.

“Mr. Cohen’s attorney at the time, Stephen Ryan, discussed the possibility of a pardon with lawyers for Mr. Trump in the weeks after the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided Mr. Cohen’s home, office and hotel room, the people said. The pardon discussions occurred while Mr. Ryan was working alongside lawyers for Mr. Trump to review files seized from Mr. Cohen’s premises by the FBI to determine whether they were protected by attorney-client privilege.

The president’s lawyers, including Jay Sekulow, Rudy Giuliani and Joanna Hendon, dismissed the idea of a pardon at the time, these people said. But at least one of them, Mr. Giuliani, left open the possibility that the president could grant Mr. Cohen one in the future, they said.

Mr. Ryan left the impression that if Mr. Cohen couldn’t rely on a pardon, he might cooperate with prosecutors from the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office investigating Mr. Cohen, the people said.”

The thing about Trump is that he, his administration, and his campaign are so corrupt, tell so many lies, are embroiled in so many scandals, that one doesn't even need to be making up lies about him.

Perhaps Obama's school record was far more relevant to evaluating him as a political candidate than was Trump's, because of the ceaseless and relentless mischaracterization of Obama as a brilliant lawyer or law student, simply by virtue of his "Presidency" of the Harvard Law Review--despite the fact that that's not the same thing as law review editor, but rather, a political, elected post; and despite the fact that evidently Obama never published anything in the law review as a student, an odd omission for someone passed off as a "brilliant" student by his supporters?

But meanwhile, Trump was "cast" as a brilliant businessman who in reality, had 6 bankruptcies and has a house of cards business that is nothing but a laundromat for Russian money. This was known at the time of the election, but was not the image conveyed by the media.

Zucker at CNN and Shine at Fox really did a number on the American public.

Stable Genius, indeed.

You obviously still don't know what "Magna Cum Laude" means or how one graduates with that designation, do you. Go on, do keep making a fool of yourself.
