To our American heroes in the theater, bracing for missile strikes and potentially being sent to war, remember who you're fighting for:
|
| Iran is already a democracy. Idk why people are acting like they aren’t. Their current president was a liberal/against the ayatollah and the religious right |
| What we actually want is against democracy. We want to install the shah/king of Iran’s son back in power. His father was exiled out of Iran in the late 70s and the US initially encouraged the Islamic revolution and this same current government against the Shah. Now we want the shahs son back? Wtf? |
|
Exactly. I love how MAGA is pointing to Persians cheering. But, Trump said he was a direct, immediate threat to America, so why aren’t Americans cheering in the street?! How is this America First?! |
Islam cannot do democracy. So unless you plan on mass re-education of 90 million people, a friendly monarchy is the best bet |
Please the Israelis have been saying for the past 35 years- Iran is weeks away from the bomb. Israel wants to make to make every country in the Middle East a failed state. Next up Turkey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zUG99zt3r8 ^^ as old Israel and Bibi! Has been saying Iran is weeks away from a nuclear bomb since 1996!! The Israelis are so lazy they just use the same tired old stuff they said about Iraq, Iran - weapons of mass destruction, weeks away from nuclear weapons, they fund Hezbollah/hamas, etc. Next up Turkey! They have already started it.
Oh and you will only get a more radical regime in Iran but they will be a lot smarter. They will build their nuclear bomb in Pakistan and they will not allow Israel to strike first. |

“Iran’s aim now is to absorb US and Israeli attacks, hold its position and signal expansion of war, and wait for worried regional actors to mediate a ceasefire. They expect that if Trump does not get a quick win then he will look for an exit, and negotiations afterwards will be different.“
-Vali Nasr So, uh, TACO? |
This is false. He's called a "reformist" but that's extremely constrained to just a few issues, like economic and other policies, not "against the ayatollah and religious right." |
Judaism cannot do democracy. They make Americans go kiss the wall in Israel. You don’t see the Muslims making non Muslims go to Mecca to pray. Netanyahu been prime minister for longer than the last 3 Iranian presidents combined and all of the Middle East leaders. In Florida and other states, first amendment free speech is now being policed so the US constitution is apparently secondary to Israel. Iran has a democracy and theocracy combined kinda like Israel. That’s what makes this so ironic. Iran and Israel have lots in common. Netanyahu forgets his own people were protesting the sexist and extremist far right government not too long ago |
Iran in 1953 Iran was a democracy but the US killed it and installed the brutal dictator. Oh and Israel does not do democracy. They do apartheid. Maybe Israel could be fixed with a UN occupation and nation building but I doubt it. Israel is a lost cause. In 15 years the Ultra-Orthodox Haredi will be 25% of the population and are projected to grow at 14-15% with their 7.2 children per family. |
Really republicans and Israelis telling the world what is a democracy and what is not?
|
Sounds about right. Trump is the poster child for immediate gratification. |
Did you feel the same about Libya? |
He was a reformist ala MBS but unlike Saudi Arabia, he’s not an absolute monarch so he cannot just make changes. |
Netanyahu and Trump thought Venezuela would be a quick fix |
