Looks like its almost for certain we are going to go to war with Iran on behalf of Israel. Iran was under a previous nuclear inspection deal that Israel wanted canceled. We sent two massive aircraft carriers to the persian gulf.

1 out of every 4 dollars from our national debt is from wars in the middle east. God help us if we get into another war that we think will be short and ends up being a decade long. If they sink one of air carriers, hit our military bases in the region or strike oil assets in the gulf we are talking about $9 per gallon gas prices. Get ready.

I don't want war. But I do have sympathy for the Iranian people who have been suffering for so long and have openly called for US involvement. Not that this should come before the American people's wishes, of course.

I also am firmly against another misadventure in the Middle East. Lest we forget, our footprints are all over the "why" Iran is the way it is today.

It's a fkn embarrassment. A third of the US fleet has been deployed to Iran. That's one-third!!!! Against a mid tier regional power whose population the US has starved for years. How does this project US strength? And how can the US stave off any concurrent threat from China or other power abroad or in the homeland?

OP I think you are mistaken. We are now considering war with Turkey on behalf of Israel instead because the Mossad failed to destabilize the government in the previous riots.
