DP I'm curious if you think someone expressing their views should be shielded from criticism of those views. |
Well, women's rights aren't entertainment to everyone. |
You can be the biggest fan of a celebrity, yet not support them completely but only within logic. Blind faith is blind. |
|
All said and done, people can say what they want, critics can criticize, supports can support, neutrals can ponder but he has every right to preach what he believes in.
People who are out for hunt, should go after celebrities disrespecting and exploiting most women tgey encounter no matter if they are their wives, cheerleaders, sorority friends, girlfriends, dates, daughters, colleagues, hired help, sex workers. |
Like Trump? |
| Dude should just shut up and kick. |
Seriously? Does every thread have to be a Trump thread? |
No chance of that. He thinks he's God's appointed messenger of "hard truths" (see the following sentence from his speech). "It is safe to say that over the past few years, I have gained quite the reputation for speaking my mind. I never envisioned myself, nor wanted, to have this sort of a platform, but God has given it to me, so I have no other choice but to embrace it and preach more hard truths about accepting your lane and staying in it." |
Just like Colin Kaepernik should shut up and throw, right? |
Whoosh |
Accept your lane? Accept?? Getting my passport ready. |
| Well, I am disturbed that more people are not taking issue with his assertion that “as men, we set the tone of the culture.” |
I mean, it’s hard to untangle all the stupid in his little Gilead speech. |
Agree. And appreciate the pp highlighting this element of misogyny. His views are Neanderthal. If Catholics support that they are free to do so. The problem is they want all of us to live in this dystopia. As long as Catholics remain an earworm in Trump, SCOTUS and the Republican Party, I will no longer be polite about their harmful practices. |
