Are there enough players registered to have a GA team at every age group next year?

with the amount of clubs that have 2nd and 3rd teams, I have to imagine there will be enough players to fill a GA roster for the fall season.

With the amount of players that came to tryouts, I can't imagine there will be enough players. Unless players signed up without ever attending a tryout session.

i did see in another FCV thread where a posted said that only 30% of the players at tryouts were current FCV players. Outside the first tryout that was all FCV i haven't been to another one, so i don't know if that's true or not but it could be

given the current state, it wouldn't surprise me if offer letter went out to anyone that registered

the fields

My daughter knows someone who had an offer to an older age group GA1 FCV team. She said she was told Mason was a possibility. Not sure when she heard that from FCV.

They made offers to any decent player they played against. Didn’t even attend tryouts. Just told them to register and offered GA spot.

Got to feel bad for the kids and families that do not know what they are getting into. Non stop blowouts for the younger GA teams.

Not the OP but i think they're saying that FCV, or more appropriately TSJFC, will be a shell of current FCV and will lose, a lot

A blowout is a sports metaphor to indicate that a game was not competitive. Commonly used as "Hey did you watch the Knick game? I can't believe they got blownout at home." or "Yesterday's game was such a blowout, i had to turn it off at halftime."

There's no way this is true. The tryouts were filled with weak Brave players and a handful of weak GA2 players. Some of the existing GA players also showed up. The outcome will be largely weak GA teams for TSJ next year. The oldest team has a few remnants but many of them already committed and the best of which have said they won't be playing many games.

Have to agree on this. TSJFC will probably get thrown out of Champions Cup after this next season and may get kicked out of GA altogether if the teams aren't competitive.

Agreed on Champions Cup, but not out of GA. Have you seen the level of most of the clubs that they've added this year?

What would it take to be kicked out of GA? It seems possible that they will have multiple winless teams by the end of next season.

Alexandria was kicked out of GA at the end of last year. Their teams were pretty much bottom of the mid atlantic for every age group. That should be FCV next year.

Champions Cup membership is based on where the teams finish in the mid atlantic the previous year. The top two clubs across all age groups are in Champions Cup the following year. FCV will not make Champions Cup next year because they will be near bottom at every age
