You're really invested in her failing, aren't you? I wonder why that is.

She’s already failed. She’s an incompetent diversity hire. Now the entire world knows.

Awesome! Now that the GOP has exposed Gay as an “incompetent diversity hire,” let’s see who else you can expose. Why stop here. It’s not really about protecting Jewish people for you, is it? It’s about a lot more than that.

DP. Of course it's not *just* about protecting Jewish people. It's also about exposing the left's utter and complete hypocrisy when it comes to free speech (and so many other things).

Let's not forget: Harvard considers "cisheterosexism" (whatever the hell that made up word is supposed to mean) and "fatphobia" to "perpetuate violence." It also qualifies using the "wrong" pronouns as "abuse." Yet amidst this complete nuttery, they clearly do NOT consider hatred toward Jews to be perpetuating violence or abuse. I'm all for exposing these fools for exactly who they are, and they have done a bang-up job of that all by themselves.

Yes, exactly. This graphic was produced at Harvard. This graphic is taught to every Harvard undergrad as part of their Title IX introductory course:

It is toxic and extremely divisive.

Harvard is hardly alone in teaching this sort of divisive, extremist dogma.

Extremism does not belong on campus.

I think much of what is in the wheel is fine. The issue is what is on the outside.

Did anyone catch the recent NYT article on Columbia's school of social work?

It's insane.

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/07/opinion/social-work-columbia-ideology.html?mwgrp=c-dbar&unlocked_article_code=1.F00.-K96.ReWjn_eNWE_B&hpgrp=k-abar&smid=url-share

I can't believe the NYT actually printed that. It doesn't support leftist insanity.

Not sure that this is an accurate and complete definition of capitalism:

“a system of economic oppression based on class, private property, competition and individual profit. See also: carceral system, class, inequality, racism.”

This is indoctrination, not education.

I'm a moderate and have long laughed at the RWNJ complaints about the left "taking over" higher education.

But in light of what we've seen in the last month and stuff like the above?

They might be correct. Yuck.

This kind of explains that therapist that got fired her job for talking like this about her patients on tiktok. She now subsists on onlyfans.

In the world in which she was educated, there is nothing wrong talking openly like this and taking a crap on patients with real issues.

Wow. I guess this explains why so many younger therapists just aren’t very good these days. They aren’t really trained in mental health issues at their schools.

DP. The other two presidents (one ex-president, rather) - Magill and Kornbluth - have also failed. Both of those women are white. I guess it's somehow ok (with YOU) to say that about white women, but not ok to say the same thing about a black woman. Tell us why that is. Actually, no - don't. We all know why that is.

Magill is out and doesn’t seem to have a history of plagiarism. Kornbluth doesn’t have a history of plagiarism either, as far as we know. So they aren’t exactly identical as far as evaluating performance.

But yes, all three have failed.

They have.

But at this point, Gay and Kornbluth will simply run out the clock. Six months from now, people won't be talking about this.

Will be very curious though to see what admissions will look like at Penn, Harvard, and MIT a year from now. I suspect there will be no difference at MIT. But Penn and Harvard? Obviously all the try-hards will continue to apply. But genuinely talented students? Particularly Jewish or students that don't really click with progressive orthodoxy?

I think there's a good chance Harvard becomes Oberlin going forward. I don't know about Penn. Probably more fratty. But a think a lot of really good students will want to stay away from this noise. Princeton and Duke looking much better. This was a genuinely disastrous performance by the presidents of Harvard and Penn.

My prediction: Whatever happens a year from now, by two or three years out, Penn and Harvard will see just as many Jewish applicants and admits as they do now. And at any rate, none of these schools are exactly lacking for excellent students who want to go there. The lasting impact of this last month or so will be very minimal.

A few years ago, our school districts equity unit defined whiteness as a system of oppression. This is insane and racist.

Idiot pro-Palestine activist students take over historic Harvard library and accuse pro-Israel senator of supporting genocide. These arrogant aholes need to be expelled.

Interesting! I guess it was somehow "white supremacist" to accuse Joe Biden, Melania Trump, John McCain, and more of plagiarizing? Or is it only "white supremacist" when the plagiarizer is black? So hard to keep the rules straight.

Just curious when we will see characters like Stu Seldowitz and Jason Furman called before Congress to help us better understand the apparently high level of systemic Islamophobia in the retread and new toadstool political appointee pool that both parties draw from?

Yeah, I read this article. Goodness. Where's the empathy and nuance for actual therapy and you know, social work? I think it's fine to learn the history of racism and oppression in this country (with the end goal of actually helping others), but this feels like it's just ideology, not practice. Reducing everything to a simplistic oppressor/oppressed framework without any room for nuance and wrapped up in language that flies over the heads of those they work with is not an adequate way to prepare new social workers to work in many different kinds of communities.

Yep. Someone brought the receipts. So, we hold our diversity candidates to different standards? Plagiarism is a major offense unless you're a POC?

Nope. PP, and I voted for Hilary and Biden. I also donated close to $2,000 to Democratic campaigns to ensure Trump and the Senate stayed blue. What did you do?

They're not academics. They definitely plagiarized but there aren't any consequences in politics, or wasn't that clear until now?

Penn made the decision to move on. Good for them. MIT is flying below the radar. They'll live.

Harvard though?

Good grief. It's the most prominent school in America, and they chose Claudine Gay to be their president. Diversity hire. Disastrous performance in a congressional hearing. Clearly an anti-Semite. Mediocre academic. Lots of issues with plagiarism.

And this is what Harvard is rolling with?

Yeah, I don't think Harvard undergrad will be regarded as quite the same after this.
