I find it fun to take a few minutes of my life to snark on these objectively annoying yet entertaining rich people who have no bearing on my life.

I think it is a reaction to the posters that do the opposite. The animosity some posters on this board and, apparently, others have is mind boggling.

Harry walked back the accusation himself in an interview with Tom Bradby. He said the media spun it to make it seem like Meghan called his family racist but, in fact, Harry and Meghan don’t think the family is racist.

There was no media spin on this. Meghan very carefully laid out a trail of accusations and dots to connect without using the word racist and let Oprah walk into the trap then endorsed her conclusion. It was very crafty and done extremely carefully with an eye for both maximum sensationalism and legal implications, she planned every word. She was unambiguous in saying that her children would not get a title and “around the same time” there were conversations about what color skin her baby would have, she absolutely intended to imply the titles were denied bc of skin color, which is an absolutely false stinking heap of excrement and both she and Harry fully knew it at the time of the interview.

As others have explained the no-prince/Princess-titles-at-birth was based on existing protocol that had already equally affected Andrew’s offspring.

They are shameless liars pure and simple. They should have been sued for libel but the Crown had no jurisdiction to do so plus Megs had carefully parsed words to make others say it for her. This is why Oprah no longer speaks to them.

100%. This is the issue. I think he thought by marrying a commoner American he could have his quiet life. He would have been better off with a rich aristocratic Brit with a country home so they could still “step back” but live in the UK and have money (hers.)

Er yes, just check wikepedia if you dont believe it. Elizabeth I was a Tudor and this is a fact. The current royal family is of German origini, queen Victoria was of the royal house Hannover and her husband Albert was a prince Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. This is just another fact. The family changed the name from Saxe Coburg Gotha to Windsor after WWI because British people were pi$$ed off at anything german.

El I and El II are not first cousin, they were born centuries apart. They are related, as any member or any royal fsmily in europe is more or less distantly related to members of other families since they married each other all the time. So they are related but El II is jit a direct descendant or El I or her family. The current family is German
