| I still remember several episodes of Tucker Carlson, where he was gleefully expecting a package to arrive with the laptop "smoking gun" - and then, when it finally DID arrive, for some reason Tucker Carlson dropped it like a hot potato. I wonder why? Maybe it didn't pass his sniff test? |
Twitter is a private company. It can freeze or unfreeze what it wants when it wants. No legal issues. |

And in this day and age the October Surprise hijinks are a highly abused weapon, even to the point of them still carrying on years after they were ever intended to. There are for example STILL MAGAs out there TODAY saying "Lock Her Up" over the bullshit "BuT hER eMAiLz" crap. SIX. YEARS. LATER.
The news media, and social media networks alike, need to be mindful of such abuse and do what they can to not further empower it by allowing specious bullshit to be broadcast and amplified on their networks in the month prior to elections. |
If only the White House Press Secretary had some way to communicate to the public other than through a tweet. |

I'm disappointed there hasn't yet been a response from FBI as with their highly highly selective Twitter Files releases and commentary, Taibbi and the others grossly mischaracterize the whole reason why FBI was engaged with Twitter in the first place. They have a mission to deal with counterintelligence, threats to domestic security, et cetera and that was the primary function of Twitter's involvement.
Yet they've dishonestly spun it into being some rogue operation to censor conservatives for merely being conservative, which is a ludicrous lie. I am hoping the FBI will issue a statement to set the record straight. |
I doubt if Taibbi asked them for a comment because that’s what normal journalists do and he isn’t one any longer. Lee Fang appears to have done that in the most recent drop. |
| The FBI shouldn’t be in the business of engaging in every crank conspiracy theory. The nutjobs aren’t going to be convinced by a denial in any event. |
