This is correct. BQ resigned and HJ has stepped in.
LOL. “Stepped in”.
Rewriting history now, are we?
I mean, nothing more was meant by it. He was meant to wait for a year as President-Elect and now he's stepped in a year early as a result of the resignation.
Not even sure which perspective you're trying to advance here.
The anti-gaslighting "perspective". GMAFB. Stop trying to rewrite history as if nothing happened.

Must be part of the astroturfing plan by the Koch associates.
Wow..... I mean, I'm pissed off about what happened too. I was just trying to answer the question. We are in agreement and not every post has to be super-critical.
Words matter. "Stepped in" grossly misrepresented what happened.
Feel free to fix rather than just offering criticism
Correction:
HJ, Nomani, and their Koch associates bullied and forced BQ out in an effort to push right-wing agenda.
Yet HJ is a Democrat and socially left-leaning. Also BQ was the bully that harassed members of the EC, not the other way around.
Whatever he calls himself, he partnered with known Koch associates to push right-wing agenda (anti CRT) and oust the old board. It was so bad that VA PTA stepped in.
His actions speak loudly.
The VA PTA stepped before he even took office. Also the narrative that BQ was bullied is a lie. The woman had multiple racial incidents prior to her resigning, first voting against him in the nominating committee process because she thought people would vote for him because he is black, and then insulting him in Facebook groups telling parents he couldn't read. Bonnie being a sexist bigot is what got her into trouble.
Stop trying to gaslight.
Here is why VA PTA stepped in - because of HJ's (and his Koch buddies) hostile takeover - detailed here:

Oh man. Receipts are a b***h.
Anxiously awaiting the predictable rebuttal: "The Virginia PTA is engaging in partisan behavior and should have no authority over a local school's PTSA wah wah wah"
So holding an electronic vote, having meeting without an invitation because the President attempted to cancel, at the last minute, a properly scheduled meeting, is evidence of a hostile takeover? Or was it the action to censure her for racist and sexist comments that is the issue? All of the above perhaps. How dare someone standup to a bully!
Sorry - should have said "hostile takeover" along with MANY other shenanigans.
Did you read the full list yet? It's loooong.
Total sh1tshow.
He only did the three things in that letter. The other 'shenanigans' wasn't him but the previous Executive committee.
The previous executive committee had several members of the now-disgraced "Coalition 4 TJ", founded by noted rabble-rouser Asra Nomani, who was serving at the time as the PTSA's Corresponding Secretary. The Coalition, which failed in its stated goal to overturn the new admissions process at TJ, is the outside organization which is obliquely referenced in the VA PTA letter as inappropriately sponsoring several members of the newly-elected EC.
As Corresponding Secretary, Nomani frequently encouraged TJ parents to express their displeasure with decisions made by school and county administrators through the weekly "This Week at TJ" newsletter for which she was primarily responsible. She made it easy for parents to harass school and county officials by linking parents to a website with e-mail addresses ready to copy and paste, and actively discouraged parents from entering the nominating process for the following year's Executive Committee by highlighting the Nominating Committee's slate of "Recommended Candidates" for weeks prior to the election, making it appear as though the new Executive Committee had already been selected. Even so, most of the "Recommended" candidates who won did so by very narrow margins.
When the new President is sponsored by the old regime, the new President is held responsible for the actions of the old regime. Oh, and you forgot to mention repeatedly and publicly calling for the principal's resignation.
