Seatbelts are not a great analogy. Your car won’t refuse to turn on if you’re not wearing a seatbelt. And you’re not banned from the roads for failing to wear one. Every once in a while, you might get fined for not wearing a seatbelt, but it’s not really that common.

We’re really entering uncharted territory in this country if we go down the path of requiring people share medical details in order to be able to engage in basic, day to day activities. And it’s weird that liberals are the ones who are championing this level of intrusiveness.

Dont be obtuse. Parents can still request exemptions and/or homeschool. The kid can still participate in all other areas of public life---to include sports and going into restaurants and everyone is none the wiser to their vaccination status. It is not a comparable analogy.

Also - do you not need an ID to get the vaccine? Don't you have to have proof of age, ergo a requirement to produce identification. Would that not, therefore then be discriminatory toward the same folks who are leaned on for political leverage when it comes to voting "rights"?

+1 A lot of places are now asking for a vaccine card and an ID to enter. So asking for one is fine (vaccine passport), but asking for the other (ID) isn't in different contexts? It doesn't make sense to me either.

Yes, it actually is equally available. I actually had to take my kids to Southest near Anacostia to get their vaccine--it was the only site that had availability. We live in near Friendship Heights. There was nothing uptown.

On one hand, I don’t really care, family in Europe have to show proof of vaccination for just about everything there. It’s much more accepted.

However, MoCo has one of the highest, if not the highest, vaccines action rates in the country. So I don’t expect anything meaningful to come out of this either.
