Oh yes it’s just great...our school throws away lunches for 90% of the kids every day because they aren’t wanted. Our school also started just handing out the breakfasts as take home snacks bc none of the kids wanted those either.

Before you endorse free lunch for all go to your school and see how much food is wasted every day.

Most of the food is disgusting and kids won’t eat it. The kids who will eat it are forced to take food they won’t eat. Example: kid wants the hot dog but won’t eat the apple. Kid says to lunch staff I don’t want to take an apple I won’t eat it. Lunch staff responds: you have to take an apple or you can’t get the lunch. Then the kid takes the apple and throws it in the trash. It’s awful.

You think a country with a population of 1,000 has the same GDP as one with 1,000,000 has the same as one with 1,000,000,000? SMH some people need to learn more about economics but they think they know it all.

What the PP is trying to explain to you is that what matters is GDP per capita, which dovetails with productivity. In other words, we don't need more people. We just need the ones we have to be better educated and working in more productive jobs. Since family size and education levels are inversely related, the last thing we need is to encourage people to have more kids--not even accounting for the fact that the planet doesn't need more humans on it.

I'm sure very few would agree, but until we empower people to be responsible for themselves, this drive towards socialism will continue and sink this country. True freedom will come for everyone when they change their mindset about what they can and cannot do with their lives.

Because in the end, this "model" of our country will not work. It just can't. A little common sense will tell you that. It just doesn't work. Even if we all wanted it to be true, there isn't enough money to go around to do it. (and there will be even less money as more and more people stay on welfare, unemployment, and every other form of government handouts). No one will work, there will be less taxes to pay for these programs, inflation will rise and the dollar will lose value, and the cycle will be harder and harder to get out of for everyone.

Sweden literally did do everything today's modern dems prescribe. Sweden was plagued with high inflation, no economic growth, high levels of debt, and was going nowhere. It wasn't until the 90s when moderates finally took over and embraced capitalism, reduced taxes, and reduces the size of the govt that Sweden really took off.

Who'd have ever guessed that when you hand out free money no one will work, your govt is crippled with debt, and you have a lack of productivity? Must be nice to get paid to sit in your ass all day and play video games and smoke weed. Sweden finally came to its senses and got rid of that stupid agenda and went for much more common sense capitalistic approach and reduced govt.
