Oh yes it’s just great...our school throws away lunches for 90% of the kids every day because they aren’t wanted.  Our school also started just handing out the breakfasts as take home snacks bc none of the kids wanted those either.

Before you endorse free lunch for all go to your school and see how much food is wasted every day.

Most of the food is disgusting and kids won’t eat it.  The kids who will eat it are forced to take food they won’t eat.  Example:  kid wants the hot dog but won’t eat the apple.  Kid says to lunch staff I don’t want to take an apple I won’t eat it.  Lunch staff responds:  you have to take an apple or you can’t get the lunch.  Then the kid takes the apple and throws it in the trash.  It’s awful.[/quote]
