True. |
For a good forward to perform well the team needs to have a good defense and midfield or the ball will never show up available to the good forward. |
Yes, the key word is "same" in "have the "same" affect". Of course one dominant player cannot affect a soccer game as much as in basketball but the affect can still be tremendous. and two kids can certainly have the same effect on a soccer match I'd say. I remember watching a low level tournament game. I think it was a club's 5th team playing against an equal level team. However, this 5th team had 2 guest players from their B team and these two players carved up the other team. The pair scored 5 goals in the first 3-4 minutes because they can pass and move. It made for a long day for the other team. |
I’ve seen it in lax, boy transitioning to girl. |
This is less true as the level of soccer improves and the kids get older. For example two A team players playing on a U16 C team would likely not result in that team beating the B team. |
| Why is fairfax doing 25 BMI while other counties are following the CDC 30? |
| If you saw my DD on the field you would think she's a boy. We unfortunately keep her birth certificate handy because there's been awkward conversations or "confusion" from other parents as she's often one of the better players on her teams. She has very short hair and wears athletic clothing. |
??? Why is that? I thought every kid wanted to play for Clyde |
| Not PP - but there was definitely a boy playing for a girls U13 team this past weekend - how is this allowed? |
Was this at the McLean Premier Cup? If not, how about start a separate thread for these trans questions to keep this thread on topic? |
Yes, it was. |
As a PP noted, it could have been a girl with very short hair, etc. The PP noted her own daughter has often been mistaken for a boy during games and she carries a BC with her for that reason! From personal experience, there have been at least 2 instances over the years where I thought a boy was playing on a girls' team, only to find out it was a girl. All parents were convinced it was a boy. You are making assumptions based on appearance. |
I posted about the basketball player. A few of the players on our team attend the same school as the player mentioned, so it’s based on much more than an assumption based on appearance. |
Since there was only one game that was had a score that high, I'm pretty sure I know th game and the player. She is not a boy. |
| You people are crazy, these are small meaningless tournaments that I'm pretty certain coaches and parents are not that desperate to cheat to win. Players have player cards that must be submitted in order to provide proof of age and gender. As PP mentioned, the score was only high against one team so it's likely that the team parent complaining just needs to come to the realization that their team is not as good or just had a bad day. Stop judging players based on their looks. |
