Oh for Christ's sake. You do not have to avoid the color of the bridesmaid dresses. That's ridiculous. White or anything resembling a wedding dress, sure.

Bride is just jealous you looked better than she did. Ignore.

No, sorry, a size 16 in a matronly dress with pearls did not “look better” than a size 4-6 wearing literally anything.

You seem to have some personal hang ups. Yes a bigger woman can look better than a thinner one. A classic, polished look is better than a revealing, bar scene outfit... regardless of size.

That’s a nice dress. I don’t understand what she wore, but you didn’t wear a ball gown or anything. I don’t get what her problem is! She sounds insecure and it makes me think you looked fabulous!

A "bigger woman" as in a size 8 being bigger than a size 2? Yes. A size 16, 22 or beyond will not look better than a size 4 in any outfit.

This is fake.

I'm a guy, and I'd certainly prefer the first one to the second one... especially as my date to a wedding. (Not sure if I formatted right)

Bigger women aren't disqualified from being sexy, even if that's not your type. bonus points if they aren't trying to be sexy. The confidence is 75% of it.

If that upstaged her wedding dress maybe she needed to make a better choice.

I knew I didn't format right!

OK now dress the size 16 in a frumpy middle aged black dress with pearls. I didn't say a heavier girl couldn't look pretty. But she didn't "upstage" a size 6 wearing a matronly black dress and pearls. Point blank period.

Who avoids black at a wedding?!

Traditionally wearing black was your way of showing you didn't approve of the wedding. Indicated you were in mourning, not celebrating the event.
