It wasn’t just one person, the private K mom was someone with a similar experience. Mine was from when Fcps was piloting concurrent in my child’s 3rd grade class. Asymptomatic child brought COVID to the class, my child got it. My child then got family members sick. One family member died. Again read the room assholes. These experiences will happen more frequently unless there is testing to prevent it. All of you are dicks, did you vote for Trump? |
No. We are parents who are concerned for our children. I'm sorry for your loss. |
Why Trump? I voted Biden with glee and am excitedly sending my two ES kids back (*hopefully*) soon. |
Exactly. I’m teaching part time and most of the time the kids just want to chat or show me toys or drawings. They don’t always have siblings to Play with and are alone in their (nice desk set up) room all day. It’s sad. |
All I am saying is the trolls you are part of the problem. Do your part. If you want schools to open don’t call nightly news and not wear masks. I know teachers that want to go back, just when it is safe. This has turned into a war. Not only is our country divided, fcps is divided. Do better! Model the mitigation strategies, focus your energy in talking to teachers to find out what they need. Advocate for testing N94 masks. Don’t just spew out frustrations and anger. It is clearly not helping. |
Do you know, in the parts of the country where schools are open, there is no war. There's no division between teachers and parents, no anger. |
Thanks Captain Obvious. Millions of students all across America are missing those things, a pandemic will do that. Vaccines are out, more are coming, and things will improving. Frankly, there's a lot of people in this world that have more problems than you guys do. The white privilege is always pretty strong on this forum. |
Blaming concern for children's education on white privilege is gross. |
OMG. Way to miss the point. YOU JUST WANT TO DRINK WINE WITH YOUR MOMMA #BOYMOMS FRIENDS, BITCHES. |
Nope. Can’t have kids physically distancing if they are all in the building at the same time. Kids still aren’t vaccinated. This is why the hybrid model is best right now. Half come on two days. The other half come on the other two day. By the end of summer, everyone should be able to come back at the same time. No virtual. |
Ah. Touched a nerve. |
Kids in multigenerational families have the option of staying home. |
+1 there’s TONS of people advocating for these families. They have exactly what they want, which is school closures and distance learning. They’ll have the option of it next school year no matter what happens to the rest of us, and possibly even years after that. Those of us who want in person are fighting an uphill battle at the moment. |
WHY were vulnerable family members socializing with your child, who was attending school in person? That was foolish. |
Definitely not true. Check out r/teachers if you think it's going so great in these areas. |
