If you choose, hold your child out. That’s fine. But I have no respect for you if you judge others who are getting back on the field.

I disagree. Your actions effect everyone in the county. We can't play soccer in the county and you shouldn't be allowed to outside the county to play. If your players get the virus chances are we will continue what we are doing. Until people understand that their actions effect everyone, then we going to continue to be where we are, which is phase 2 and doesn't allow soccer.

Theyre abiding by the current regulations Karen.

How do you know her name?

No they are circumventing the rules, which is what Karen does because Karen only cares about herself and no one else.

Lol. Nice explanation.

I hope that this message finds you well. With the fall 2020 season just right around the corner I wanted to provide you with an update with our plans for the upcoming season.

As many of you are aware, this week Montgomery County Public Schools decided to cancel their 2020 fall and winter High School Sports seasons. I wanted to take this opportunity to assure you that as of this moment our 2020-2021 season will be continuing as scheduled. This includes camps, clinics, practices, and games. Official practices for the 2020-2021 season will start August 1st. In addition, we are also looking for additional opportunities to assist our players whose High School seasons were impacted by the MCPS decision so that their college ambitions are not impeded in any way.

Our club is continuously working with our various leagues as well as state and national associations to create competition structures for this season that are safe and up to our standards for quality of play. We will continue to provide you with updates as information becomes available. As our club has mentioned throughout the summer should there be a delayed start to the fall season or a stoppage in play our club will provide a fair financial adjustment for the 2020-2021 season.

Finally, I also wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for your patience, your feedback, and your support over these past few months. Creating a Return to Play system and a Summer Camp program that gets our players back on the field safely has required an extraordinary effort from all members of the BSC community. Your feedback and support have been instrumental in making our summer programs a success and given us additional insight in getting prepared for the fall season.

I look forward to seeing all of you on the field soon and remember-We Are Bethesda!

Can we stop with the moronic comments? First, MD is already playing soccer. Second, there is not a surge. The only issue in the DMV is the Tidewater area and the Gov just announce new rules to deal with folks there. MoCo is testing more and finding more cases but this cases aren't severe and the hospitalization rate is still around 33%. There will be issues with interstate travel but leagues dealing with those issues will make adjustments.

You must be rec. Us travel parents travel to multiple states every weekend so yeah, your comments hold no water.

I see that countdown clock on the ECNL website went to zeros, but nothing changed on the website.

Maybe the change was all the Colorado teams moving to Wyoming?!?!? https://www.eliteclubsnationalleague.com/ecnl_nw/

ECNL is not unlike NCAA football.

The Southeast, TX and CA are basically off limits, whioch represents 1/3 of the teams. Even the MA has an issue with NC/SC.

What you mean? Much of the Southeast & Mid-Atlantic is participating in an event here in a couple weeks. http://www.carolinaelitesc.com/tournaments/ecnl-preseason-friendlies

The point is that some conferences can play while others will have to wait.

Sounds like many of the ECNL/GA clubs in NC & SC have been training multiple days per week since the beginning of June and without following State guidelines for Phase II.

However, NCFC/NC Courage decided they wanted to "set the standard" and follow the rules. They held a few "social distance" trainings in June before shutting it back down. They will start social distance training again this week and continue until the Governor announces Phase III for NC. I think NC is one of the few mid-atlantic/southeast states that is still in Phase II or at least not allowing contact training to resume in youth sports. But it doesn't seem right that clubs who have been following guidelines and have done next to nothing since March will soon be playing games against other clubs who have been training 3 days/wk for the past couple months.

If transmission rates are low and and it is deemed safe to play, play. If they are not low and play is not recommended, DO NOT play. as for who wins and loses youth soccer games at this point? not that meaningful. It never really was and not even less so.

I agree, but go check out some of the social media accounts for clubs like Solar and their respective teams and tell me wins don't matter. Texas is a COVID-19 hotbed, yet these top clubs are all-in even during a pandemic.

There are multiple NC teams traveling to Richmond to play in Jeff Cup fall kick-off. I think NC teams have been training
