Here’s my prediction of how she’ll get through this:

She’ll spin and deflect by making herself the victim of cancel culture. She’ll go into hiding a la Dave Chappelle but only for a year. She’ll re-emerge saying she needed therapy after she was bullied to the point of losing everything—drawing parallels to when she came out. Then she’ll be the poster child for cancel culture railing against it while calling for everyone to be kind. She’ll launch a new line of be kind merch when she re-emerges.

Her celeb posse will support her, led by Jen Aniston.

She won't re-emerge. Neither will Oprah or Jimmy K or Piers M.

Hopefully her wife leaves her too. She won’t have anymore “friends” once she loses her show. Same with Howard Stern. Is obvious celebs only associate with these two sociopaths because of their shows.

She isn't keeping her jobs, negotiations clearly on-going for James Corden to get her show/slot. Not a huge fan of his, but he's 21 years younger, so it's a step in the right direction.

Alec Baldwin can be super charming and is truthfully talented. There are no redeemable qualities in Ellen.

David Letterman was well known for being a total dick to his guests and staff. I think the fact that she's a woman is a factor.

I would occasionally watch her show if home sick, but it was always so cringeworthy. Her attempts to look carefree and cute were so overwrought and disingenuous.

Though I can't say I blame her--who wants to do that for decades? All talk shows become stale over time.
