Odd. This was almost the same reason she stopped all of the “hand hearts.” She would chastise anyone who would donut after she stopped it.

I just watched this clip from several years ago of her and Michelle in a store, and Ellen is obnoxious. This isn't acting or faking - she's obviously just so comfortable being awful. Michelle was dying of embarrassment.

maybe it's how it's written but it comes across more like disgruntled employees. Buzzfeed won't get any supporters for their anti-Ellen crusade with this kind of story, written poorly. They make a few good points but overall, seems like Buzzfeed and these former employees just have axes to grind.

And I'm not a fan of Ellen anymore. I agree with an earlier poster who said she should just show re-runs. And for god's sake, put on some makeup when you do your show! I know Portia knows how to do it if they won't bring in a make up artist.

I was really expecting to see something different in the clip based on these comments. Ellen is intentionally being playful and obnoxious with her VIP guest. It is a shtick in which she runs amok and Michelle plays the responsible adult. She is basically being your annoying friend on a CVS run. It may not be your brand of comedy, but it is a brand of comedy. Also, I have both had that friend come to CVS with me, and been that friend at CVS. They are joking around.
