She's clearly a nasty person on the inside. And she looks soooooo old, like an old creepy man in the "working" from home clips. Not a good look to have someone that old and creepy hardcore flirting with female guests 1/3rd her age.

I don’t know if she is mean or not, but the silly games she plays with audience members (from squirting them with water to pie in the face) are mean spirited and seem to be never-ending. Let’s throw a pie in her face and see how fun it is. She has a game show on at night too. Who watches that crap?

She probably is over it. Who wouldn't be bored of doing the same job and schtick for that long even if it is a glamorous one. And she clearly doesn't need to do it for the money so after almost 20 years there's probably not much joy or motivation left in it for her

So maybe stop? No one is forcing her. I'm sure her huge ego won't allow her to take herself out of the spotlight.

She lost her luster a few years' back. All she does is shamelessly shill and plug certain brands and fawn over the Kardashians. It is obvious she tries really hard to get into the things she knows she is supposed to like and be positive for.

I watched her interview some athletes after the Olympics, and it was obvious how she dgaf about what she was doing. She was just going through the motions. It's time for her to give up her seat for someone else.

She knows that A List "friend group" will vanish if she loses her show. Same as Howard Stern.

I still remember that interview she did with Michelle Obama in the CVS, where Ellen was just plain obnoxious. It was so painful to watch.

Same thing Chelsea Handler used to do on E!. Paid millions and clearly couldn't care less about putting effort into the show -- basically a big middle finger to anyone dumb enough to watch. Then when they lose their show and aren't popular anymore they become desperate and sad on social media.

This. I stopped watching years ago for the same reason. I bet if you went back and watched an episode from 2003-2004ish you'd be shocked how different (happy) she was. Now she just seems bitter and bored.

Her show formula seems to be:
A block: 40-something washed up black dancer + unfunny jokes
B block: Poor people beg her for money
C block: Torment people and/or B and C list celebs she doesn't really like
D block: Painfully uninteresting interview

Ellen is definitely mean. However men in the business are mean or arrogant (Steve Harvey Memo) and it gets a pass, basically. The people who watch her must enjoy it..She does have great guests, at times.

Go Kelly! Congrats on the Emmy. There's someone who is authentic even when being constantly criticized for it. I bet people who work for her are not told "don't speak to Kelly, don't look Kelly in the eye"...
