Crescent Trail Mask Headcount

I want to but am non-confrontational. The people in my otherwise pretty friendly, progressive neighborhood are still nutso over masks at all times. I’ve even been yelled at for waiting to pull up my mask while running until I saw someone approaching from the other direction on the trail. Like I was literally 20+ feet away when I pulled it up.

You don't live in a friendly neighborhood if you are being yelled at for not wearing a mask while exercising outside. It's not against any ridiculous martial mandate and it's not against the science. Masks will now be a permanent part of our society because those in power and those who clung to their double masks will never admit they were wrong. Remember, it was the politicians who forced Fauci, Jerome Adams and the CDC to change their policy on masks to make it seem like they had some control.

Another beautiful day on the trail and a big announcement by Texas regarding the elimination of state mandated masks and restricted businesses. Also, Governor Hogan keeps making press announcements about lower infections and hospitalizations.

53% mask usage
48 wearing out of 91 counted.

Yep. It was great out on the Trail. Lot of people out enjoying the sunshine. Great to see some smiling faces again! Spring is close!

Not OP.

Today I went for a 10 mile walk/run in Alexandria & Arlington. I was amazed at how few people were wearing masks (both runners and walkers). I saw far more discarded scooters than masked pedestrians on the trails. It was great! I'm so proud of you people who are finally realizing that there is no risk in passing a person briefly!

People didn't even do the idiotic "pull up mask/buff" thing - I was so proud of you all!

Sadly, the MAMILs are still aplenty. Still... there is progress on the trails.

Brookside Gardens two weeks ago. >95% in masks, including me and DS.

I was shouted at by an older lady for not wearing a mask while running on the CCT this week.

She caught me in a very good mood so I just smiled and had a bit of a chuckle as I ran on.
