Any professions you’d avoid dating? Why?

Thanks. I have tried lower drive types and I am not attracted. I like men who are leaders professionally and in a relationship. I am not contentious in my relationships in the least.

Not attracted is not the same as not compatible. Marriage is meant to last longer than “attraction”.

In any event, from what you say you should look for entrepreneurs, and certainly avoid entertainers, transactional lawyers, CPAs, and most doctors.

Why does everyone dislike attorneys? What is the best profession to marry then?

Any type of consulting.

Too much travel and job uncertainty. That’s a young person’s game. By 40 you should have something more stable.

Just be lucky they have a job at this time. Hello corona!

Also 40 IS young.

Not for consulting. I'm mid-30s and feel way to old for this sh*t. 80 hr+ workweeks and 95% travel is for the real young kids. It sucks and I wouldn't want to date me either.

What the heck is consulting anyway? Wouldn’t more experience make you better at it?

Male here. In college, I had a rule not to date psychology majors. I felt each female psychology student I met seemed to have significant issues of her own. I theorized all wete trying to diagnose/fix themselves.

Someone told me (a women) never marry an attorney. That person was right. They are their own client...they put themselves first above everyone and care about winning/getting their own way with everything, and they are expert gaslighters...requiring you to have “evidence” in every argument.

I find engineers to be difficult - self absorbed, cold.

Restaurant industry, night shifts, architects, artists, musicians for less common instruments (flute, french horn, etc - too much travel for no $) mind numbing bureaucratic job like fed auditors.

Yes, and often so manipulative as well.
