Any professions you’d avoid dating? Why?

Attorneys. Anyone who is associated in any way with Trump. Two absolute dealbreakers.

OP here...that is a profession I’d avoid. In fact, any Trump supporters don’t line up with my values.

Why attorneys as a category? I am one and there is such a wide variety from in-house counsel, government lawyers, Judges, m&a work, patent, regulatory, bankruptcy, tax, wills & trusts, etc.

No liberals please or anyone with trump derangement syndrome who trolls minorities and women who are trump supporters with their ideas and perceived good values. No thank you.

Yes, I have no problem dating Republicans but not if they're Trump supporters.

Other than that, I am fine with Doctors, Lawyers, Scientist/Engineer, Teacher, Nurse, etc. I want the person to have a profession and not just a job.

Yes, the profession vs. job distinction was key for me as well.

Waiter? Busboy? Waitress? Server? Bellhop? Travel agent? Housekeeper? Mechanic?

That’s a big group. Waiter/Waitress/Server are all the same position. If you are the sommelier at Per Se it’s a far cry from server at TGI Friday’s. Mechanics are in a different league..make a mint.

Any type of consulting.

Too much travel and job uncertainty. That’s a young person’s game. By 40 you should have something more stable.

So in general attorneys have the reputation of being know it alls that love to argue and have douchbag tendencies. I’m a first grade teacher married to an attorney and many of his fellow attorneys for this description.

Do you differentiate between Trump voters (because a Clinton or Biden presidency would be worse) vs active Trump supporters?
