With today's reports, MD has 86 cases to 77 in VA, and with 40% fewer people.
MD officials should be especially worried about what will happen in Baltimore and PG, where there are large concentrations of low-income people with lousy health care and/or facing economic pressure to work in public-facing jobs. But if one thing is clear it's that this crisis is not limited to one country, much less one state. |

Have our (also pathetic) Senators done anything?
Seat-warmers — both of them. |
Leave Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen alone. |
DP. No, he had limited gatherings of more than 100 people (50 in the peninsula), closed state offices to the public, put restrictions state employees traveling, and a couple of other things. Not enough but not nothing. |
Sorry, when I say limited I mean banned, but the ban didn't apply to airports, offices, things like that. |
Ummm...this is the Virginia thread, not Maryland. |
| Unbelievable. 17 more cases and 2 deaths in VA today and Northam still won't issue a ban on anything. He keeps suggesting people just avoid gatherings and stay home if they're sick. Is he for real? How in the world does a doctor not try harder to do to stem a global pandemic in his state? |
Maryland added 22 cases today. It’s bizarre how you project all this anger on one individual. You are a mental case. |
Hm that doesn't really mean much coming from someone who clearly can't read or comprehend information. Maryland has issued bans on everything to keep people home and at least has less deaths. Virginians are still going about life as usual and infecting each other because their governor doesn't seem to care enough or know enough to issue orders to keep people home. |
You should aim to at least get a life before you lose it. Because you’re just adapting the typical VA bashing to the COVID-19 situation and it - and you - are beyond pathetic. |
If you're in VA looks like you'll be the one losing your life first with a governor like that. Good luck! |
I’m a Virginian and I side with the Marylanders on this issue. |
DP, but you're really clueless and pathetic. It's not a number count competition. Wow! Just wow! |
Montgomery has the most reported cases in the DC region and PG saw a big jump today. Not buying that Maryland, despite its nanny state reputation, is any safer. |
Are Ya'll people really that dense and clueless? Where does it say any state is safer? No state is safe, but some states are taking concretely actions to TRY to stop the spreading of the virus while others are not. |
