Virginians — Why aren’t you mad as hell at Governor Northam?

MD Governor Hogan is the regional leader taking strong, decisive action. Mayor Bowser also is leading well.

I am mad as hell about this. Is there any effort to marshal public opinion, such as change.org petition?

from a mediocre medical school, at best, per rankings.

He’s likely closing everything down today. Frankly, it doesn’t matter, though. Everyone - VA, MD, DC and the USA - acted too late. We’re already on the same path as Italy, and we have our own selfish stupidity primarily to blame.

+1. Plus, he apparently spent his medical school years costume partying.

What makes you think he’s finally going to take action today?

To be blunt, I think some of the Democratic governors are having a harder time closing schools because of the FARMS issue. Republicans hate children and feeding them, so they had no problem closing schools quickly.

Also, in about three/four weeks, people will be starving in some areas and there will civil unrest.

Yes but Northam hates those people and doesn't listen to them.

I posted in the other thread, but yes I’m very upset by Northam’s lack of leadership.

I get that 2/3 of the state may not be taking this virus seriously but that’s what he’s the damn governor for and not them.

Call your Congressman people!

Maybe desantis is but Floridians aren't. I also have family there.

They are all closed. What are you talking about? He announced that 3 days ago.

I put a big weight on the lack of testing as a major part of the issue here.

Brabant initially resisted. It was outcry that forced him.

Wow, such idiocy. I thought all Republicans thought the virus panic was overblown and a left-wing hoax to sink the roaring Trump Economy? Which is it? Why would Republicans want schools to close in that case?

FYI, Maryland Dems are PRAISING Republican Governor Larry Hogan for his decisive leadership. Go to those MD school forums — they praise him! I read those because my DC attends school which follows MCPS. Some posters there don’t let their ignorant stereotypes of their political opponents blind them to fair assessments.

Because in all my worry about other areas of life I forgot to be mad at him!

What is a specific ask I can give him? Close non essential stores?
