I AM FED UP WITH THE EARLY SUNSETS. SICK OF IT. EXHAUSTED & TIRED. I AM OVER IT.

You know there is no rule that you can’t go out in the dark! You can go for a walk in the dark. Take flashlights. Play flashlight tag. The problem isn’t the lack of light it is that you lack imagination and are soft.

Umm I have toddlers. And it’s actually against the law to be on a playground after dusk. It’s not safe for my toddlers to be on sidewalks to taking walks after dark. Cars just don’t see us.

And yeah no video either. Too young. My youngest is too young for even the occasionally movie even. He doesn’t see them. Ugh (we fly a lot, this sucks)

+100
I love early sunsets and cold weather. Dreading the long, hot days of summer.

THIS x a million. As if someone is somehow responsible for their weather woes. Moronic.

You are tiresome. I’m up early. But during that time I’m getting teens to their bus stop and then driving to work. I cannot get up any earlier to take advantage of daylight. With the time change I will be able to enjoy the daylight after work. My teens can go to practice and come outside and see some daylight. It makes a difference.

I'm up early too. I take advantage of the earlier daylight in the mornings by getting up in daylight instead of in the dark. I enjoy the daylight in the morning by getting up in it. My kids do too. As you say, it makes a difference.

Okay lady, I’ll call work and school tomorrow letting them know we are late because we are enjoying the daylight.

You're missing the point.

Not enjoyable: getting up and going to school/work in the dark.
Much more enjoyable: getting up and going to school/work in daylight.

Same. I've never understood the "Oh so much time in the summer evening, it's lovely" thing. To do what? Most people work, so on the weekday evenings, you're generally doing the same things you always do: dinner, dishes, homework, etc. People act like they're using those extra daylight hours to take up sky-diving or surfing when really they're home in their air-conditioning watching Netflix.

Maybe you.

We grill dinner, go to the pool until 9, run or walk the dog in the light, and the neighborhood kids play, shoot hoops, ride bikes, etc.

I’m getting up and going to work in the dark either way. Kids have already left for school.

Not my family.

We will make the most of the extra daylight.

No one is arresting families who are playing flashlight tag in a park after dark and cars would see your kids If they have flashlights. I mean honestly are you only able to exist in the most exacting of climactic circumstances? You can grill in the dark and in the winter. You can play in the rain. There are a million things you can do if you just try - but it is easier to just complain.

Grilling is much better in the daytime.
