Ok then.

My camp is right in the sense that they have TJ. Oh, and a real ISEF winner. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Science_and_Engineering_Fair Reston)

And more science bowl winnings. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Science_Bowl

But since you only have arbitrary data to back your argument that your "STEM" is better than ours, and as we don't share the same score board (SOL vs. PARCC) and because you're being a douche, you can keep your STEM argument. Because we trounce it in terms of different metrics.

FCPS is once of the best in the country period. We keep attracting high earners and intellectuals, we have the same if not more government jobs, and yet we are the ones with more schools ranked nationally. You guys can tout Blair and Poolesville, but they haven't broke the top 100 yet, let alone the top 10.

And you know what else? We are going to keep doing it. Because we keep getting the high paying jobs. And we have lower taxes. And we have great public transportation. Oh, and we've got better schools with plenty of STEM to send them to MIT and Stanford. And you know what else?

If you don't like it, you don't have to live here.

*mic drop*

LOL.
You are just too obtuse.
And Blair leaves TJ in the dust

Nope. You’re a troll who makes things up.

Blair is #1064 in the country. TJ is #4.

You don’t like facts or data. And it shows why MCPS falls so behind FCPS when you are obviously unable to see that #4 is waaaay better than #1064.

But hey— keep spouting lies. It obviously helps your insecurity issues. I’m just glad you’re not living in FCPS and having your kids bring our scores down.

tI is a full school magnet. Blair is only 20% magnet. Who is spouting lies?

You are.

There are approx 100 kids a year in the Blair magnet.

TJ is ranked higher on paper because it's a whole magnet but on the field performances and competitios, Blair leaves TJ in the dust.
Here for your enjoyment, #1064 bit$h-slapped #4 and left #4 in the dust. You can enjoy your paper rankings, we will enjoy our on the field performances.

Then why are you here trolling? AAP has its own forum because we’re that competitive. Get your own forum to discuss how great you are and cite some better links.

And Because MCBro can’t get his math right- you pay more in taxes for crappier schools. Our county outperforms not just on paper but also in sending it’s kids to top tier schools and attracting businesses.

But it’s ok. Larla probably could never get into TJ so it’s better off this way. Enjoy your mediocre public schools.

Finally you liken TJ to a completely different school- but isn’t that the point? If you can only support and fill 100 magnet positions in Blair (which isn’t even your best school) then isn’t the rest of your school system failing? From elementary on- if the magnet program isn’t expanding to fill the whole achool, then your entire school system is failing your kids. You want your magnet programs to keep getting better, not failing it’s kids and being #1064 in the country when it could be #10.

Oh, but you say you have higher farms! Oh you can’t support so much science in all of the schools! Oh it’s apples and oranges!

MCBro: if you don’t have enough kids to fill a school for a magnet program, your schools are failing your kids. If you you can raise the non magnet kids, your system is failing your kids. Just because you have a few stars doesn’t mean your schools are good. We have so many more stars that shine and we have the make our schools competitive and higher ranked.

And our parents don’t have delusions of grandeur.

Blair used to be great. Now it’s a shell of a good school. When they closed the old building and changed the program 20 years ago it started to go downhill. Now it’s like the equivalent of Baltimore Poly.

Correction. Baltimore Poly outranks Blair at #1033.

https://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/maryland/districts/baltimore-city-public-schools/baltimore-polytechnic-institute-9009

Get your head out of your butt MCBro and see the data like a true science nerd. Overall rankings indicate school success over individual stars which indicate parental pull and involvement. NOVA won $400k at ISEF in 2019. We have the stars and we have the ranking. You have no links and no support.

And that’s why you deserve to stay in MCPS. #mathmatters

Obviously, just looking at average SAT scores gets rid of these issues. Blair doofus responds that SAT only measures income and not suitability for higher education. Why then, genius,do college ask for test when they can ask for income instead? Please Blair, rescind this idiot's diploma. He is only embarrassing you.

PS: I do not live in Fairfax.

Huh????????
What the hell are talking about? What study did a Blair student do?

Holy smokes.

VIRGINIA got three ISEF awards this past year, raking in over 400k. TJ, McLean, TC Williams. The two in Fairfax got 240K

Yeah, I think we'll keep our FCPS schools and you can stay in MCPS.

Causation and correlation are difficult to teach and Balir is failing at doing so.
