USSF doesnt care about your kid. They want the money. They want a monopoly. Please, get off the high horse.

How many of you knew that soccer is a declining sport in the US?

How many of you knew that cost and burn out are the most cited reasons?

How many of you knew that youth sports is a 17 Billion dollar a year industry

How many of you knew that USSF is a horribly run organization?

Article;
In San Diego, Calif., where year-round sports programs are common, Dr. Tommy John, a sports chiropractor, said parents will sacrifice everything — including selling a home or dipping into retirement funds — to afford elite training for their children.

“I’ve heard of families changing cities,” John said. “I’ve heard of polls being taken on Facebook, like, ‘What’s the best baseball cities? Trying to look to where to relocate my 8-year-old.’”

“The financial burden is ridiculous,” he said. “And it absolutely creates an inequality where kids are being run out. They don’t have Little League options. They don’t have a basketball option because it costs six grand to participate.”

U.S. Soccer President Mispronounces Megan Rapinoe’s Name at Victory Celebration.

That should drive the point home.

Nothing. I dont have a problem with capitalism. I have a problem with the governing body of US Soccer contributing to the downfall of US soccer by cashing in on the billion dollar youth market and perpetuating the cause of the declining numbers. It becomes corruption when a governing body attempts to create a monopoly for their own financial benefit .

The GDA was created as a revenue stream. They wont tell you that because of the optics.

And what was ECNL created for? Or EDP, or NPL?

No, I’m asking you to differentiate how US Soccer is doing things compared to any other league. What makes USSF worse or what makes ECNL/US Club Soccer a better governing body?

I made my point. I dont to compare and contrast. Ussf is the governing body. Not the ECNL. See the difference?

Your like a little kid always asking why. Grow up.

That's just pure BS.

There's plenty to criticize about the USSF, but they are not making money on the DA. It is not a revenue stream for them. The money flows the other way. It could be argued they are not funding it enough, but they definitely aren't making a profit.

The DA showcases and playoffs are the only soccer tournaments in the country that are not making money. There is no entrance fee. They don't charge clubs to participate.

What a spokesperson!

The knights in shining armor, USSF, entered this space at their own cost to save our children from being undeveloped. In fact, they are so noble they are losing money. They should hire you. Maybe they ready have?

Not a spokesperson. I just don't like ignorance and stupidity. Claiming the GDA was created as a revenue stream for the USSF is ignorant and stupid. Claiming (as another post did) that the USSF only got into the youth soccer business in order to fund the adult national teams is even more so.
