Did you already pay? |
Yes- if you read the FAQ on the St. James website it even lists the cost for regular teams and cost for DA team. ($2895 for DA) https://www.thestjames.co/files/TheStJames_FC_Virginia__FAQs.pdf |
I'll say this. Two DA clubs recently had big announcements. FCV made a formal press release, sent an email to parents, and had a website with FAQ ready to go. Spirit, on the other hand, has still not made any formal press release, and there is no website with any information about the clubs. Which one seems more organized and better run than the other? |
How much do you think he got to sell club? |
TSJ is the best |
danke für dein geld |
Look under the Spirit thread for the formal letter sent to DA parents this morning. You are way behind the 8 ball in your info. |
If you keep reading that is not the total cost for DA. There are other fees/costs plus costs associated with travel to showcases etc. |
He can keep punching all the way to Springfield! Buh-bye, don't let the door hit you in the rear on the way out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Because it is a opportunity cost to not rent out to other sports clubs. St. James already owns FCV now. |

The St. James just updated its website - here is the revised info: The St. James FC Virginia will form new competitive travel teams for boys and girls in the U9-U12 age groups for the 2019-2020 soccer year that will be based at The St. James in Springfield. Additionally, The St. James FC Virginia will continue to provide competitive travel teams for boys and girls in the U9-U12 age groups which are playing and training in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties. Players who are 13 and older will have an opportunity to try out for existing The St. James FC Virginia teams that compete in multiple travel leagues and will train at various locations in Fairfax and Loudoun counties. |
Re-read my post. I said Spirit has not made a formal press release, and there is nothing on the Spirit website about the split. Yes, they sent a letter to the parents. But that's it. The Spirit website still has the same DA information page that they've always had. If you were new to that site, you'd have no idea that the MD and VA teams are no longer affiliated with Spirit. There is no website for the new MU DA team, and there is nothing on the Baltimore Armour site about their new girls DA program. Why? Is it really that hard to coordinate (a) a letter to parents, (b) a press release and (c) an update to your website? The fact that Spirit, and the new MD and VA DA clubs, could not coordinate these 3 simple tasks is just par for the course when it comes to the operation of those clubs over the last 2 years, and it does not signal any fresh change going forward. |
FCV players are welcome to attend practices this week at Lake Fairfax. Feel free to contact George or Spencer if you want a formal invite. |
good money makes decisions easier. well done. as for FCV kids/parents, this might not be the best thing going forward. |
