It’s a “low immigration” think tank. Biased. And wrong. |
If he plans on releasing these folk to sanctuary cities, then sure, because they will be well-taken care of. Are you feeling that they will not be welcomed by the population of those cities? |

And CIS is listed as a hate group.

Trump turns illegals away. RACIST!
Trump detains illegals. Racist! Trump wants to send illegals to welcoming cities. Tacist! Schwartz said that the Arlington County Police Department will not act to enforce federal immigration law, and that the county doesn’t participate in a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) program that gives local and state governments the power to deputize police for immigration enforcement. https://www.arlnow.com/2017/03/01/arlington-county-on-immigration-welcoming-but-not-a-sanctuary-jurisdiction/ |
| It’s absurd how certain people are pretending this proposal died because sanctuary cities refused to take people in, rather than because ICE doesn’t have the money to transport them that far and there are huge liability risks if there’s an accident along the way. Trump and Miller made a stupid and dangerous suggestion that ICE rejected as unworkable. That’s all this is about. |
The question is motivation: What do you think Trump’s motivations are here? The well-being of the detainees? If that were his motivation don’t you think he would have tried to keep families together? |
Something strange is going on at this civil rights institution. It must be investigated. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/opinions/something-strange-is-going-on-at-this-civil-rights-institution-it-must-be-investigated/2019/04/05/a08f227c-5712-11e9-814f-e2f46684196e_story.html There’s something strange afoot at the Southern Poverty Law Center, one of the nation’s richest civil and human rights charities. In March, the center abruptly fired legendary co-founder Morris Dees. Dees’s biography was quickly scrubbed from the center’s website, and the SPLC announced this week that Karen Baynes-Dunning would serve as interim president and CEO, giving the civil rights organization its first black female leader. In confirming Dees’s departure, then-President Richard Cohen emphasized the center’s values of “truth, justice, equity, and inclusion,” and said vaguely, “When one of our own fails to meet those standards, no matter his or her role in the organization, we take it seriously and must take appropriate action.” Subsequent news reports pointed to allegations of racial discrimination and sexual harassment inside an organization that had raised hundreds of millions of dollars from donors to fight just that type of injustice. SPLC has lost all credibility. |
LOL. The list is correct. And they plan to socioeconomically integrate Arlington schools. Say goodbye to the liberal rich enclave of North Arlington - your kids will be redistricted to blend with the masses and your property values will tank. Such is the nature of leftism. |
But the spin is better if they focus on the sanctuary cities. |
If you're claiming sanctuary cities were "designed" to help undocumented immigrants, then you don't know a damn thing about the topic. Or, more likely, you're simply lying. |
He knows which communities are best able to not be consumed by an onslaught of people who view laws as optional. |
Nice tangent but what about CIS? It’s still anti-immigration. Biased source. And flat-out wrong. Find a better source if you want us to take your comments seriously. |
If there's a kid (not here legally) with severe emotional problems who's disrupting the school setting, information will come out much sooner. Sometimes the authorities are notified in cases of abuse. Then it's out of the school's hands. |
But the motivation was.... |
| I am noting one hell of a lot of moonwalking back campaign rhetoric here, folks. |
