I think this is more a matter of "regular" sizes getting sold out really quickly. If you wear a medium in women's clothing, good luck finding anything worth looking at in your size. |
The Target closest and most convenient to me is in Columbia Heights, DC (the only one in DC proper or is the one in Cleveland Park open yet?). That one is always well stocked but is so busy and in such disarray that it looks like Saigon after the fall. I'm surprised there's not a goat running around in there. ANY "design" would be better than what it's like now. And the lines are INSANE. I feel bad for the workers. That store is clearly understaffed. The pharmacy workers are very efficient and friendly, however. |
That I would expect but it’s specific plus size brands that are EVERYWHERE. They have several now and there appears to be more racks assigned to those brands than other, regular sized brands. But maybe that’s just my perception! |
That's because plus size is the new normal, don't you know? |
YES, YES, and YES. Someone in their "creative" dept. must have told them this new layout would be all the rage and everyone would love it. Instead, customers are left having to zig-zag their way around the store, with nothing making sense. I even decided to avoid a whole section (men's section) because I couldn't maneuver my cart through it. They are *losing* business with this redesign. |
Yep. I was looking for socks. Easy, right? Well, there were some in the shoe dept, some in the men's dept, more in the women's, etc. etc. You get the picture. Just put ALL the socks in one big aisle. I couldn't tell if I was missing something that might be hidden away in a different area. They did the same thing with Christmas décor/supplies. What a mess. And you could see everyone wandering around, looking confused and lost. Surely someone from corporate is observing customer reactions and complaints? UGH. |
OMG, I am so glad you said this!!! I thought it was just me and almost had a heart attack after seeing how horrific I looked in that camera. |

Target has stopped putting all the plus sizes together and are noow scattering all the clothes and keeping them in a space within their "brand."
I'm plus size and I hate it. It means I have to shuffle through all the other sizes and all over the store looking for mine. And, it obviously irritates the smaller sized people as well, because there end up being too many sizes on one rack. |
It's frustrating because I will see something cute and then realize it was just grouped with standard sizes and I actually can't wear it at all. |
their redesign seems to be affecting stock in their grocery and personal care aisles. Their Reston location has always been well stocked until recently. I spent about 15 minutes trying to find my usual buys yesterday, and then gave up and bought just two before leaving and going to Harris Teeter for the rest. |
Music? Huh! I haven’t noticed that yet. |
Hahaha!!! I’m cracking up. |
This is what happens when millennials take charge. Cute and clever becomes the priority over functional and useful. |
I've stopped shopping at Target in-store. I now shop online and then pick up at the store so I only have to go as far in as the customer service desk and then walk back out. No more impulse buys for me. |
