Someone please answer.

What wall? There are little demonstrator pieces up for press photos but, try to grasp this, there is no wall. There is no final procurement plan. There are no work order specs. There is no continuous, plotted, right-of-way. There are no environmental and land use permits in hand.

It doesn't exist. It was never going to. Quit asking questions and obey.

Then why is Trump threatening to shut down the Government over this?

Got 9 Dems who will cross the line?

Didn’t need 9 democrats for tax reform; why are they needed for the wall?

Where is School House Rock when PPs need it?!

Joni Ernst doesn’t mind a shutdown.

Iowa GOP Sen. Joni Ernst said with just days remaining until the funding deadline for key agencies that she would prefer no government shutdown over President Donald Trump's wall.

Asked on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday about the prospect Trump would refuse to budge on his demand, Ernst said, "I would rather that he didn't."

"But we also understand that our constituents have stated quite clearly that they want to see our border protected," she added. "The President has been quite clear for a number of years. We need to do our best as well in Congress to make sure that we are protecting our nation and following up on the President's promises."

Republican President. Republican Congress. Still regularly threatens to shutdown the Government because it can't govern. Sad.

Congress is returning to Washington with a tight deadline to pass seven spending bills and avert a partial government shutdown over President Trump’s demand that lawmakers fund his wall on the Mexican border.

The partial shutdown will take place on Dec. 7 if Congress does not pass legislation, creating the last chance for Trump to win wall funding before Democrats take over the House majority in January.

Trump has threatened to veto a spending bill that does not include funding for the wall. If he follows through, the partial shutdown would hit the Homeland Security, Justice and State departments, among other government entities.

“This would be a very good time to do a shutdown,” Trump told reporters at the White House earlier this month. “I don’t think it’s going to be necessary, because I think the Democrats will come to their senses, and if they don’t come to their senses, we will continue to win elections.”

Still no deal.

President Trump and congressional leaders are racing against a deadline next week to avert a partial government shutdown, pushing disputes over the president’s border wall and an array of legislation that touches on everything from Saudi Arabia to farm policy into the waning hours of Republican domination of Congress.

The deepest impasse — and the one with the greatest potential to prompt a year-end breakdown — is over Mr. Trump’s demand for $5 billion for a wall on the United States’ southern border. The president has pressed for its inclusion in the final spending package before his party loses its House majority in January, a condition Democratic leaders have refused to accept.

Here’s the thing with a Christmas shutdown. Trump would have to shut the government down for Christmas. No Department of the Interior for tourists in DC. But, more importantly to Trump, he can’t leave for Mar A Lago and Congress can’t leave for Christmas until it is resolved.

There won’t be a Christmas shutdown, because Trump doesn’t want a wall badly enough to stick around DC for Christmas.

And if they pass another CR, then they will have to get funding through a Dem House in January.

Trump will pass what Dems tell him they will pass because he doesn’t have the self discipline to follow through.

You must not be paying attention if you think anything will stop the president from doing what he wants. If he wants to go to FL, he will while the rest of the chumps in Congress hang around.

This President doesn’t care about optics.

Well they had a raid at the Herndon 7-11 where the illegals congregate for day work, and the liberals screamed bloody murder.

why raid the day labors? Go to the restaurants and arrest the owners.

+1 In some cities, they put the name of the johns on a big billboard next to a busy road. This is what ICE should do to those companies that hire illegal immigrants. Some of Trump's resorts would probably be on there.

But as Rs blame the prostitutes rather than the men, they will blame the illegal immigrants for wanting to work and feed their families (yes, I realize they are here illegally but who is hiring them?) rather than the business owners.
