It also means that someone else could choose how you give birth. If an anti-choice politician thinks you should have no epidural so that you can feel the full punishment of Eve’s curse, the Supreme Court won’t be able to stop them. If some Catholic nutcase - like Barrett for example - thinks birth control should be outlawed, they’ll find the “legal” argument for that, too. |
Cali awards! But they are not that exciting. I got a bunch and I am no genius (also got a full scholarship to law school at a better school than ND). These things are not proof that ACB will be a good justice. |
We had a woman like that in our class in law school. Third year she totally lost it and her ex-boyfriend took out a restraining order on her because she was obsessively stalking him. Barrett is a wacko because she belongs to People of Praise, a group described as a "Charismatic Christian Cult". She was not forthcoming about her membership in the group and so wasn't asked about it at her hearing when she was nominated for the Court of Appeals. I don't think she'll be Trump's nominee because it's sure to come up at her hearing for the Supreme Court. And even though Trump pretends to be all Christian, as a classic NY liberal he'll think she's wacko too and wouldn't want her as his legacy. |
The last thing we need in this country is more religious wackos shaping policy. Turns out the conservative obsession with sharia law wasn’t because of their islamophobia, but because it was more projection. Who knew? |
Where are you getting that line of thinking? |
no nanny? |
No one said they were exciting. But for the same anonymous student to have virtually every one of her first year exams selected as the best in the class is impressive. I also don’t believe you got a full ride to a better law school and got a bunch of those awards. At least with Coney Barrett it is verifiable. |
Coney Barrett isn’t stalking her husband. Your comparison is silly. |
Evangelicals won’t be happy with her. That’s enough to disqualify her in what passes for Trump's mind. |
Then don’t. But I assure you that some Cali awards and a law school scholarship is not indicative of anything other than a high LSAT score. |
I’m looking forward to reading about the potential list of Supreme Court nominees instead of the speculation. I’m not going to get myself into a tizzy.......just yet. |
Well, then, you are a shoo-in to the Supreme Court, aren't you? |
Probably not. I am not a member of some weirdo religious group that I try to keep secret. |
In the same general area where the epidural is administered. |
Oh dear, that was a joke! You really think that someone of your sort would be considered for the Supreme Court? |
