Faulty premise = unsound argument. Try harder. |
I’ll never u derstand white people’s obsession with comparing colleges. It’s like measuring your dicks. Sad. She is obviously very smart and would’ve excelled at any Ivy. Just stop already. |
she's also a horrible mother. I met her personally when my child was in an activity with her son and she opening berated him. |
Seriously? |
We also live in a country where public officials cannot impose their religious beliefs on people. Separation of church and state? If this woman is unable to decide legal issues without bring her personal religious beliefs into it, she is not qualified for a SCOTUS seat. Full stop. We do not live in a theocracy. Roe is about a 14th amendment right to privacy. That’s what a jurist has to rule on. |
Sure, let's believe an anonymous source on dcum. |
you mean, like you? See what i did there? ![]() |
U.S. Circuit Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, one of the leading Supreme Court contenders, has argued that presidents should not be distracted by civil lawsuits, criminal investigations or even questions from a prosecutor or defense attorney while in office.
Oh hell no. |
I know Amy Coney Barrett. She went to Notre Dame on a full scholarship, but I'm betting she didn't apply to Harvard or Yale because they're not her kind of schools. And not only did she graduate first in the class and with a perfect GPA, which might happen once or twice in a decade at Notre Dame, she got the award for the best exam in every single one of her first year classes except for one and nine times overall -- in other words, not just an A in those classes but the very best exam in them. That's pretty extraordinary no matter where one goes to law school, and Notre Dame is a pretty good law school.
Coney Barrett also is not a wacko. Yes, she's conservative and Catholic and a true believer, but she's most definitely not a wacko. She is extremely well regarded by those who know her personally, liberals and conservatives alike. |
Pass. |
Interesting. They were reporting that the dark money SCOTUS seat campaign had started. |
They give awards for exams? How odd. |
White person here and I agree. I was talking to a staff member for a state AG's office. He said all the good work is done by people from state schools and 2nd tier law schools. The Ivy grads who think they are slumming it by working in the office don't last long because they may be intelligent but they have no skill or savvy. |
Which law school did you attend? |
All of the picks on Trump's list have been screened by the Federalist Society - they all oppose Roe v Wade.
Roe v Wade simply says the individual has the choice how to manage her body. if Roe v Wade is overturned, a state could dictate that a baby be carried to term. Or it could dictate that a fetus be aborted. It cuts both ways. |
