This is all beside the point: they're both nuts and none of us knows as much as the judge on this case about which one is more nuts. That judge took custody from him in the first place, and is doling it out sparingly now. Hopefully they can get their acts together and coparent.

The mother of one of my friends went to college with him and said that he was really weird. For whatever that’s worth....

He's admitted and opened up about this substance abuse problems, not her. It's pretty clear it's a problem.

Actually it's not clear at all. Was he ever in caught in public or otherwise for his substance abuse, like let's say - Charlie Sheen? And why not? Him admitting anything is just to do with terrible PR, feeding American favorite confession stories about guilt and transformation.

I get that he got drunk and they had a fight on a plane, but that's not a legit reason to keep him away from his kids. The should have 50-50 custody. They are rich enough to afford to fly a where and rent luxury homes and hire staff to support such an arrangement.

Not everyone splits 50/50. It’s still not the norm in my social circle.

I mean they are both extremely attractive & will never be able to “trade-up” to anyone better because they are the best.

Agree with PP that he doesn't seem like the brightest light. AJ has been running rings around him in the separation/divorce and the PR. Maybe this is a sign of the pendulum swinging back a bit.

Disagree. He has given her plenty of rope that she has used against herself. He has also acted in the children's best interest, PR-wise.

50/50 Split would be rare in any circumstances. It's very hard for kids to spend fifty percent of their time in one household and fifty percent in another household. Most children have a primary home base and then visit the other parent. They have close contact with the other parent, but children need a home, a school, a neighborhood, and friends. They can't spend fifty percent of their time in one home and fifty percent of their time in another unless there is a rare instance where parents own neighboring condos or some such thing. I've personally never worked on a case of 50/50 custody, unless this poster is confusing legal custody and physical custody. Legal custody can be 50/50 but physical custody is rarely 50/50.

Brad may have legal custody of his kids and share that 50/50. What is being worked out here is physical custody and visitation.

Plenty of alcoholics and addicts end up with joint custody or visitation schedules far more generous than what Brad has.

Must be more to the story. I’m betting she had a plan and recorded a bunch of things before the split.

Plenty of alcoholics drive drink with their kids regularly. Just because it’s common doesn’t make it okay.

LOL wow! Her crazy is starting to show (again). I don't understand why she'd want to completely deny her children access to their father after all of the issues she had with her own father. She was always clearly very bitter about it and you'd think she'd want to ensure her children had what she didn't. Also, how could her attorneys not realize that the order wasn't sealed?!
