where on FB? |
Yes, please, fellow Alexandrian here, link to the Facebook page for us all? |
You're asking for a link to someone's FB post? WTF are you? Some Wilson campaign Gestapo? |
I think the reason it looks worse for Wilson is because he has tried to portray himself as the savvy politician who knows the ins and outs of politics. Instead in one fell swoop he has turned out to be the shyster wheeler and dealer who is only looking out for number 1. Even though I don't understand how they couldn't see through his smarm, I think his former supporters are feeling duped. And they should. Wilson has shown his true colors. I don't think there is any chance he will be able to move forward from this. |
Exactly. From this day forward, anytime I hear a friend, neighbor or fellow school parent state "I voted for Justin Wilson" I will automatically think they're either a Democratic lemming or just an ignorant and uninformed voter. Who willingly votes for a guy who lied to his own constituents about something this huge? We know he's done it once. Don't give him the chance to do it again. Alexandria deserves better! |
Really, it’s not. But keep trying to insist otherwise. |
| The exaggeration of the importance of this issue is amusing. |
You're right! I must be imagining the 85 posts here, two 500 + member closed groups on FB, my own feed absolutely slammed from most of my feed from Alexandria peeps and about to hit the local TV broadcasts.
Nowa week before the vote. Justin should be thanking the Caps with every breath. It's the only thing distracting most folks. |
I think it is someone calling OP out on his bullshit |
Yeah, you have an active imagination. Half the 85 posts here are your own and I am sure a great proportion of your FB group is similar or people otherwise affected directly by the narrow issue. |
You're quoting me and I've made exactly two posts in this thread. That you're flat out lying and using foul language proves to me that Camp Wilson is in damage control mode, big time. I'm going to come back to this thread on the 13th for a great laugh. |
| I'm a PP that thinks this is a big deal as in "people should be paying attention and be upset about this." Sadly, I don't think many people ARE paying attention and this will likely not have much impact on the primary next week. None of the local news outlets are reporting on the FOIA release and the WaPo, AlexTimes and others already released their candidate endorsements before this info came out. So I think the potential impact on the election will be small. I wish it weren't so but let's face it, most people aren't keeping this close an eye on local politics. |
Exactly. Hi Team Allison! This IS a big deal though - the city actively sought to conceal this info from residents, even as WMATA told them they didn't need to keep it confidential. It's a big decision that shouldn't have been made out of public view and as it turns out likely didn't need to be. This was either huge incompetence, an abdication of responsibility, or something worse, and both mayoral candidates are wrapped right up in it, as is every incumbent on the city council. |
I'm one of the people asking - I just genuinely wanted to know. I'm active in Alexandria groups on FB and wasn't seeing it... |
|
Now everyone that thinks the VM should have disclosed this is somehow "Team Allison"?
Thats setting the bar pretty low for expectations from teh zvm. |
