| Surely Lightpostgate will be a winning issue for whoever the BIBA crowd puts forward next year to challenge Wilson |
I am sure it won’t. But to the extent the concern about Wilson is more about his integrity compared with positions on the issue, I do think “Lightpostgate” is telling. Wilson, when legitimate concerns arise about an issue, regularly either claims he does not understand the concern or lies about the course of events. Wilson is doing both here. The problem is a credible candidate (if such a person exists) cannot run against him because it could lead to (an even worse) BIBA preferred candidate to win (ie the Euille, Donnelly, Silberberg primary a while back) |
Wilson lined parts of Seminary Road and King Street with unused bike lanes and claims they are an important reason people want to live in Alexandria. He will come up with some equally cockamamie reason for the light post gate being beneificial to the diversity of the city. He can't even claw back on rabbit-gate at the Halal abattoir. Justin Thyme insisted only poultry would be killed there; now there are rabbits being killed and sheep will be next. Oh and let's not forget his cockup on Duke St. and re-zoning single family neighborhoods so that the bike lane losers can ride their twee bikes to their non profit jobs and get their wife to stop harping about their crappy kitchens in Parkfairfax. Justin Case will dump everything he can in the West End to make the DelRay crowd happy. |
