I know quite a few women like this. I am in my late 40s now. As we've aged, they have gotten even more obsessive. One of them is the 'trophy/2nd wife". I guess she is coming with terms that she's now the age of her husband's ex-wife.

They don't want to be traded in for the new model---especially never having worked a day in their lives.

I also think it's even more than that. The only thing they were ever recognized for was 'physical'. It's pretty tough when everyone ages and they never had anything going on their life beside looks. Many women I know are really having a second career explosion after they have stepped up the career as the kids start becoming independent and leaving the nest.

An aging beauty with nothing going on is a pretty sad thing.

I don't eat a lot, don't do dairy, don't do sweets, and I don't drink alcohol except a glass of wine when I go out. I always eat dinner (small portions) because my family eats together most nights. Otherwise I would probably skip. I go to the gym abt 3x a week, nothing excessive. I have friends who totally pop adderall/ritalin. Me, I'm just used to being a little hungry most of the time.

There’s a difference between looking fit and being rail thin. The latter does not look good after a certain age. It makes the person look haggard.

My secret is I run 4-5 days a wk avg ~25-30 miles outside. After my run I do 150 pushups and 150 dips, like pushups except I am facing the sky. I also do yoga 2-3 times a week not in a class.

150 push-ups?! Wow, you are in phenomenal shape. I have a hard time doing 25 (...and I'm actually in decentish shape myself)!

I use to do 30 pull ups in a row when I belonged to a gym and did crossfit. Recently, I tried pull ups and I can still do 20 Not bad for an old broad in her 50s.

I disagree. There’s only so much fillers can do. Women over a certain age who lose too much weight age themselves immensely. Had they just kept on a few more pounds, they would’ve had natural fillers & their faces would look more youthful. Skinny gaunt is not attractive. Nor is the disproportionated puffer fish face loaded with fillers that doesn’t match the body.

Yes, aging skin on the hands, knees, thighs, neck becomes really obvious.

Working out is important too if you want to look/feel good of course, but the real answer is do not eat much.
