I'm naturally thin and this is true. I'll add that it comes in waves often with my cycle - so some days I'll binge on several slices of pizza and some nights like last night I'll just have a cup of yogurt for dinner. And I have nervous energy that keeps me moving and active throughout the day... I don't keep still very well. |
For all of you insisting that a specific weight is required to be thin you obviously are forgetting about muscle. Muscle weighs the same as fat but its more dense so it takes up less room. You can weigh 132lbs or 120lbs and still wear the same size. Also that Russian chick is starvation-level. Her head is monstrous compared to her frame. I cant even imagine. ![]() |
I am rich and not skinny. Healthy weight but definitely not skinny. On my frame skinny would look really odd. |
These women sound kind of like drags. Does anyone hang with them? Are they fun at all, ever? I can't imagine living such a controlled existence, doesn't appeal to me at all. |
Not really. They eat in public and at functions |
Terrible advice. Don’t go down that hole. |
It makes me so angry to see women counting every calorie, skipping meals, refusing breads and desserts to look like their college weight while their gordo husbands with bellies hanging out drink beer and eat two burgers right next to them. |
Some combination of anorexia, orthorexia, purging, drugs, or smoking to look like that Barbie in the photos (and I’m her case, photoshop and filters). Good genetics and tiring self control can keep you trim, but to be a true lollipop creature, you are not healthy. |
This is me exactly (naturally thin, not rich). Some days I eat big meals and other days I just have no appetite and nibble at veggies. In general I eat to live rather than live to eat... I don’t really love or crave any foods. I didn’t even have cravings when pregnant. And I have tons of nervous energy, am always moving. I also resemble a parent who is still very slim even at 70+ so clearly genetics play a part. |
I am losing weight to get back to being somewhat skinny (I am bigger boned and will never be a size 0).
Eat a lot less - 1-2 protein shakes a day. Lots of raw green and red veggies. Berries only for fruit (and then only 1/4 cup and in am). Small (mostly green) dinner. Wine only 2-3 days a week and red only. Mostly tequila with lime juice and seltzer water (lots of lime). I also take a pill called Ketogen along with a Lipase Concentrate (from Integrative Therapeutics) to help burn fat. Helps me curb my appetite while my stomach continues to shrink. |
Rich, but not "Skinny'.
I am incredibly fit though. I was a college athlete and have worked out hard 6-days per week my entire life. The trend is actually more fit, high and tight round bottom. More muscle-tone. A look of a lot of many types of boutique fitness gyms. The skinny, frail WASP like Gwyneth-type is less prevalent. There are a lot more of these in the 70-year old+ category. I love food---but I love exercise even more. Most people in upper brackets are healthy--eat better and exercise more--there is so much data on this. Exercise improves brain cognition and memory with age too. It's not just body that gets fat and lazy, but neurologists have shown the brain does too. There are always exceptions to figures and $/social class. A big motivator for me--other than if I don't move every day I get anxious and b*tchy---is I like to look good in clothes. |
OMG. Awful. So unhealthy looking. My husband likes curvy, fit women. If I point out a woman I think has a good body--he inevitably says 'she's too skinny'. He was a body builder and athlete too--so likes muscle and some curve. He likes a more athletic body--someone that can squat and run and not pass out. |
Rich women:
No job = plenty of time for sauna, multiple workout classes, trainers Rich= plenty of money for surgery Rich = plenty of money for meal delivery |
My theory is this: rich women have somebody else cooking dinner for the kids and/or they or their husband travels a ton for work. Thus they can eat their skinny salads without temptation or complaints from others. Also important: not having the bad food in the house, since the nanny does the shopping and is required not to buy crap. |
Tell me more about Lipase Concentrate. How long before it works? |
