It is sad because he was such an icon - the wonderful father on the Cosby show... the jello guy.... someone who spoke hard truths to the black community. And, the death of his son, which was tragic. It is sad because I feel duped by his onscreen persona.

I honestly have no idea what "smoke" that woman saw. She was probably heavily in denial or thought that what was happening was a consensual thing and she didn't want to know about it.

I would be stunned if she thought he was drugging and raping unsuspecting women. No way. Not Bill Cosby. I remember when those accusations first came out they seemed so far fetched. I just knew that he would be exonerated. I grew up watching Bill Cosby, he was like the perfect all American dad and husband.

Obviously he had a hidden, private side to himself that he did not want to share with his fans, his friends, his colleagues, his kids and, yes, his wife. You might be too young to remember that Cosby was a charismatic, likable and very well loved guy. For this nightmarish stuff to pop up in his older years was just a shock to everyone. He was the last person in the world you would think would do something like that.

Hidden my ass, do you know how many years there were rumors about him drugging women ?

That's pretty damning. He was trying to make it sound like these drugs were like having a drink to relax.. I don't know anything about these kinds of drugs (qualudes?) but how in hell did he ever rationalize to himself that slipping drugs into these women's drinks was o.k.?

How could the father of daughters do that to women and try to pass it off as normal?

You just don’t get it. Camille inserted herself where she didn’t need to. Her children have said nothing, but Camille did. You are clearly a sick person to not understand how her actions harm rape victims. But I know you’ll dig your heels in again and sing the praises of poor innocent Camille.

Bill Cosby pulled the wool over a lot of people's eyes. When these accusations surfaced Camille stepped up to defend her husband. I highly doubt that she believed these women. She probably thought that they were after Bill's money. I'm sure that when you are famous all sorts of kooks come out of the woodwork. Bill had a young woman claim that he was her father. He denied it and that suit was thrown out. I assume that a paternity test was done to prove that he was not her father. There have probably been other false accusations that we have never even heard about.

Obviously, with these female assault victims there was a disturbing pattern of behavior over the course of decades. 62 women stepping forward is huge and quite chilling. I would imagine that Camille will never fully be able to wrap her head around what has happened. That wasn't her reality with Bill at all. Her sense of disbelief is probably 100% legit.

Actually they do. His wife has a lot to be remorseful for with her attacks against these women. But I’m sure it will be a cold day in hell before she apologizes. Much like it will probably be before you realize how distorted your thinking is.

She has been with Bill since she was 19 years old. Read how Bill and Camille met and how their life together evolved. I feel sympathy for her. That does not mean that I am "apologizing" for any and all wrong acts perpetrated by her husband. I think that her disbelief is totally understandable. Her world has been blown apart.

Are you kidding people of known things of been off with that man for delegate. Back in the 90s when that girl get arrested for blackmailing him saying that he was her father and he's says he's always been supporting her financially but didn't parent her and refused to take a paternity test .
When his oldest daughter went to college and end up having truck issues and everybody knew something was off with that family .give me a break Camilo was not blindsided she decided to be either silent and complicit or just so emotionally beat down and wedded to the public image that whatever it was it was

Many years ago he gave a deposition and admitted drugging a woman and assaulting her. What world do you live in? The woman was paid off so ofcourse Camille knew about that. She stood up for a man who himself admitted what he did! She's sick.

PP I clearly do not know everything there is to know about the Cosby family. The height of his career was well before social media and gossip simply did not get around back then the way it does now. Unless you really made an effort to follow celebrity news you never heard about these rumors.

I can only say that I only remember seeing Bill Cosby and his family in the best of all lights. They seemed like really nice people. But as we're finding out, public personas can be deceiving.

The blackmail and trial of the blackmailing alleged daughter was in the news . The drug issues with the oldest daughter was covered by entertainment sources. And those who actually went to college with the oldest knew she was just a walking talking example of the hidden dysfunction in that family.
