Bill Cosby was found guilty of sexual assault by a jury of his peers on Thursday.

After less than two days of deliberation, the jury reached a verdict at 1:30 p.m. and determined Cosby was guilty on three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault.

Cosby was charged with three counts that each carry a standard sentence range of five to 10 years in prison, but legal experts say the sentence for each count should run concurrently under Pennsylvania law since they all cover the same incident and conduct. That means the 80-year-old is likely facing up to 10 years behind bars.

Cosby will also have to register as a sex offender and face an assessment to determine if he is a sexually violent predator.

Not surprised. I used to love the Cosby show and cannot watch it anymore since this first came out.

Wow. TBH I didn't think it would happen because he was such an icon. I am glad that he has been held accountable for his actions and I am sorry for all of the victims and their families. I think it goes to show that you can't always tell what a person is like. We have interacted with him maybe 10-15 times and would never have guessed at the behavior. The whole thing is very sad.

OP here. This is a sad day.

Not sad because of the guilty verdict. He clearly deserves it. I am certain he will serve time. There is no way he won’t with the charges. I feel deeply for his victims. They deserve justice.

It is sad because he was such an icon - the wonderful father on the Cosby show... the jello guy.... someone who spoke hard truths to the black community. And, the death of his son, which was tragic. It is sad because I feel duped by his onscreen persona.

He is not an icon, he is a fraud just like most other famous people who are put up on a higher ground and use their power over others who are hypnotized by it.
