+2. Minibar, on the other hand, lived up to the hype, imo |
Millies in Spring Valley. Way overpriced for what you get. Food fine but not amazing, especially for the price. It is the only decent place in the neighborhood though. |
I liked the food at Bad Saint. I wouldn’t go back though because I am too old to deal with that queue shit. |
For me I guess it’s the hype, as I don’t feel that the food, service or ambience live up to it. Perhaps if it was a simple neighborhood bistro that you could easily get a table at, I would like it more. I don’t find it crowded or obnoxious, I just think it’s not worth it |

Agree! Was it the eager-beaver waiter? |
+ another. Culinary Disneyland. |
Overrated:
Fiola Seasons 52 Sushi Taro Le Diplotmate - food is always over-salted Roses Luxury Actually good, not overrated: Blue Duck Tail Up Goat Rasika (but it has been awhile since I've been) Little Serow |
Mirabelle is overpriced with a rude server to boot. Very overrated. |
+1,000 It's not "new" new, but Momofuku also sucks. |
Another one for Seasons 52. I have a coworker who loves that place and wants to go to Seasons 52 if we are traveling for work and in a city with one of them. |
No, no, no...... Roses luxury is in no way overrated. The queue is a hassle but the price is reasonable and the food is superb! |
Old Ebbitt Grill. Bland, unimaginative food; skimpy portions and jacked up prices. |
“Queue?” I thought we were talking about DC, not London, restaurants. ![]() |
