Most overrated restaurant you've eaten at recently

Anonymous

The only restaurant that has NOT disappointed me recently is Duck Duck Goose in Bethesda. Surprisingly yummy.

I didn't like Volt. Not that it's so hot these days, but I thought it was overpriced and bland.

Clarity hated the food owner and manager were rude and too override and minute portions

I like his story and vibe, and I feel like a sucker every time

I came here to say Maketto! I went for a big dinner out with a friend (I don't go out that often anymore) and it was meh-to-yuck.

Totally agree. Flavors seemed random and didn’t come together at all.

Agree! I got a pretty yucky main dish. It wasn't all that, at all.

Wow, I love this place!

It's a tie between Marcel's and Blue Duck Tavern. So much meh.

To the people who didn't like Le Diplomat: was it more the service, the hype and crowds, or the food? Don't they do any good french bistro basics, like steak frites and salade lyonaisse? Or is it so crowded and obnoxious that I'd be better off just going to Bistro du Coin?

Mirabelle easily number one on this list for me. I have friends who love it so maybe I’ll go again and try something different but I was super underwhelmed.

+1

+2. And the service is the absolute worst.

I agree with all of these. So disappointing. We even gave it a second chance thinking maybe we caught it on an off day. Nope.

+1 to Founding Farmers, The Inn, Le Diplomate - overhyped & overpriced. Now I don't need to try Fiola or Tail up Goat.

Most of DC is like this - 2-star flavor at 4-star prices.

Tiger Fork. Mediocre cocktail. Food is not even as good as a strip mall Chinese place. Nice deco, completely over priced and pretentious.

All those hip ramen places where you have to queue for 30 minutes to get a bowl of so so noodles. Daikaya, Sakuramen, .... the only thing special is the wait.

Ouzo Bay in Baltimore. I feel sorry for the fish died for dinner in vain.
