Ideal Protein Diet

Hi Sarah! Are you still around? How was your summer? Are you still on IP?
Anonymous
Not Sarah, but I'm also on IP. Since I started, I'm down 25 pounds. I have had (very) small cheats here and there, but overall consistently lost between 1.5-4 lbs/week.

The packets I like the best are:
Nacho dorados
Wafers (any kind)
Chocolate crispy squares
Hibiscus drink
Vanilla shake (with espresso)
Choc pancakes
Choc pudding (I have it with WF strawberry flavored rhubarb)

The vanilla crispy squares stall my weight loss.

As PP noted, the main benefit of IP is that it resets your diet to include more vegetables and water primarily as well as good, moderate protein. I did IP before I had my second child and lost 40 lbs. Now I'm back on to lose the baby weight.

How much do y'all end up paying for IP? Does insurance pay for any of it?

I vary between $80-140/week and no. I'm up by 5am and go to bed between 11p-12am so I need an additional IP product/day and it's more expensive accordingly.

How much are you paying per box for your IP food? And are you paying a body scan and weighing in fee every four months too?

My group is $30.00 a box and every four months there's a $60 body scan charge. They aren't using the 3D scale, but a less expensive mmodel that runs BMMK. I think that charge should be covered by the $400 up front fee and the expensive food. The scale is their own business expense just is rent, storage, shipping, etc.

$400 upfront fee? Oh my. I paid way less than that (don’t remember the exact amount but it was under $200), and it came with a big sample week of food.

The body scan scale is InBody.

Where is your clinic?

I also paid $400 or 450 to start. I can’t remember which. I never paid a weigh in fee although I didn’t last 4 months. I wouldn’t pay one though - that’s ridiculous. Just refuse it and weigh yourself at home.
