"Why are white men stockpiling guns?"

Globalism has gradually undermined this small amount of privilege that was enjoyed by working-class white males, while simultaneously benefiting college-educated whites and non-whites. This group tends to perceive the country as a "society-in-decline" that is getting worse and worse. They feel an exaggerated sense of pessimism and danger. Hence, guns (and Trump).

What amuses me is that liberals like yourself don't understand that the non white immigrants coming here from India, China and the Middle East are usually quite privileged

That illegal immigrant that killed Kate Steinle is suing the government for filing unfair and vindictive charges against him. That's what you've created.

They are also quite educated. More educated than whites, on average.

And vulnerable. Companies can pay them much less and dangle a green card/citizenship on a stick just out of their reach.

The sense of entitlement among criminal aliens is unreal. Why can't we just ship his ass back? I don't want to pay for his prison meals and health care.

This is a guy with multiple arrests and deportations as well.

Gee, maybe these people are becoming this way because none of us can be spared even one damn day without being subjected to stories such as this. Shit, if I were an economically unstable white male, I’d be stockpiling, too.

And that you preening libs are too wrapped up in the bullshit that you can’t even see the propaganda anymore. All these mainstream pop-science news outlets run this type of shit now. National Geographic is now apologizing for being too racist in the past for portraying certain peoples as “exotic others” that don’t wear clothes and live in cities, or some such bullshit like that.

You really think that only poor white men like guns? Really??

not funny

There are always a couple stories up that talk about the poor, oppressed “people of color” and/or the evil white male, the enemy of all that is pure and sacred, and how their downfall is going to herald in a new age of fairness and prosperity for all... except the white males, of course, f*ck those guys.

That is so not true. Plus white males should not complain to be discriminated against in a society where white privilege is still a thing.

Asian people have white privilege too.

Making gross generalizations and then justifying it by thinking that they deserve their lot in life because they are simply stupid and ignorant and *choose* to be that way. Implication being, of course, that all of you are better because you just *made better choices*.

How about just feeling some compassion for them like you the gangbangers (apparently)? Maybe their problems and mindset are the “fault” of being poor and the environment to which they were born into?

Please explain how this mindset is any different at all to the one only a couple of generations ago who thought they were superior to minorities? Remember, they too felt themselves to be moral, upstanding members of their communities as well.

The difference is that a few generations ago white men kept minorities as property and kept women from voting. Liberals have teased you on an internet forum. Big difference. HUGE.

I do feel a little bad for the people who stockpile guns. But mostly they scare me. Because of all the guns.

P.S. I'm not a liberal.

you missed the point about the gangbangers.

You want people to feel sorry for the white men who feel disenfranchised such that they stockpile guns, but you would also never feel sorry for black gangbangers who join these gangs because of poverty and abusive parents.

If we don't feel sorry for such gangbangers why do you think we should feel sorry for these white guys who still have way more opportunities than a poor black guy?

Not that person. I don't own a gun but have been trained to fire one. I'm female. I strongly support the 2nd. I think this article is probably the funniest thing I've ever written. It's o-so careful to pull each emotional string on the liberal marionette. It simultaneously attacks religion, finances, family, and race and not ONE of you can see how you are being played or consider why you are essentially being told to hate and fear.

An article like this is not designed to engage your intellect - it's designed to bring an emotional response. And there you go, falling down the rabbit hole.

How many of you responding here work for the Feds? And you wonder why the average American doesn't have much respect for you and the work you do?

Hell to the yeah! I don’t own a gun either but sometimes feel like I should get one just to piss the libs off. Let’s go shopping mama!

You got it!!

You go girls! I can just feel your erudition, earned self-confidence and overall savvy leaking all over your posts!

Self confidence and savvy doesn't protect you or yours from an armed intruder.

Perhaps not. But savvy can help you realistically evaluate threats and help you realize that the threat of an armed intruder is quite low for most people. Your chances of dying in a gun-related incident are actually increased by keeping a gun in the house.

You don't know where I live and whether my risk is higher or lower, nor do you know how I store my weapon. You are speaking in theory.

+1 Nor do you know my level of training. I suspect there are several statistics phd nerds on here. They are constantly trying to turn every issue into a math problem. NERDS!!

Why do you think the playing field is level?

Immigration, legal or otherwise, tends to lower wages. Recent immigrants, legal or otherwise, are willing to work for less money and increase the labor pool driving down wages.

Low wage white guys likely weren't going to college to compete against non-whites, nor have direct political power (beyond that of voting) and thus don't have a position of power.

See, the bolder is what bothers me. The immigrants come here for a better life, which is exactly what most of our ancestors did also. In exchange, they are paid low wages - not because they’re demanding low wages, but because that’s what businesses do — they pay the lowest wages they can. Businesses are not people - they have no compassion and only pay attention to the bottom line. They look at supply and demand. Don’t blame the immigrants. Instead, businesses say they have to hire immigrants because Americans don’t want the jobs. There are only a couple of responses to this: (1) the businesses are lying and Americans do want the jobs but won’t work for the low wages (hence, businesses should raise the wage to counter the forces of supply and demand) or (2) the businesses are telling the truth and people are unwilling to take the jobs for some reason, such as they don’t want to move to where the jobs are because they grew up there, etc.

Businesses are telling the government that they want and need immigrants — is it true or is it because they don’t want the increased expense of hiring American? And, in either situation, shouldn’t the Americans be willing to do those jobs, even if it means moving? We need to fix the system, and the focus needs to be on pushing businesses to “Hire American” instead of just pushing consumers to “Buy American.”

WHITE TRASH GUN NUT!

DP. You sound like another deplorable liberal. Why do you go around making racist, derogatory comments in which you denigrate whites and make condescending assumptions about their economic status? Bet if a Republican said "black welfare idiot," you'd call him racist.

I think that's the answer to the original question. The hostility from the left toward whites, with some Democrats even associating with anti-white icons, is making them nervous.

Who’s to blame...
The immigrants or the employer who smuggled them in?

“Immigrants working on a remote Kansas ranch toil long days in a type of servitude to work off loans from the company for the cost of smuggling them into the country...”

“President Donald Trump’s administration has cracked down on immigrants living in the country illegally. But it has said less about the companies that employ them, let alone a company accused of using smugglers to bring workers to the United States.”

Vulgar insults are the hallmark of a weak argument (or no argument at all).
